Max Ovaska, Minka Kuustonen, Samuli Jaskio, Johannes Holopainen, Chike Ohanwe, and Antti Tuomas Heikkinen in Heavy Trip (2018)

Trivia

Heavy Trip

Edit
The film was originally titled "Impaled Rektum", then "A band called Impaled Rektum" and eventually "Heavy Trip".
The film is packed with references to the band Megadeth, particularly with the character Lotvonen, who was styled to look like Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine. His hair is similar to Mustaine in the 80s and 90s and the guitar that Lotvonen plays is the same one played by Mustaine in the early-90s. Also, Lotvonen works in a slaughterhouse and wears a Megadeth, "Killing Is My Business" t-shirt. Finally, in the scene where the drummer breaks into the police station, the background music is the chords to the Megadeth song, "Hangar 18," about someone who also breaks into a forbidden governmental facility.
In a June, 2022 interview with Metal Hammer magazine, director Juuso Laatio confirmed that the script for a Heavy Trip sequel was complete and filming was scheduled to begin in the summer of 2023.
The rocket launcher used by the Norwegian border patrol is the same type used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Commando (1985)
Although some of the plot is different Heavy Trip follows a similar plot line to that of the French movie Pop Redemption (2013).
