Many isekai anime have the protagonists start off knowing nothing about the world they're sent to and abandoning modern knowledge of their world in favor of learning about their new surroundings. While this is a great chance to experience a brand-new world, some main characters are stuck without being able to access their previous experiences to their advantage.

Yet, in some cases, there are isekai anime where the protagonists take what they knew from their past lives and use it to their advantage in the new world they've found themselves in.
