Julien's Auctions Announces 4th Annual Lyrics For A Cause Auction

Julien’s Auctions announced Music Health Alliance’s “Lyrics for a Cause” benefit auction in collaboration with Julien’s 20th anniversary week-long celebration in Music City.

The online auction opened on Monday, October 23, and will be held live — for the first time — on Tuesday, November 14, at 6:00pm Cst at Hard Rock Cafe Nashville and ["online at Julien’s Live Auctions}. Proceeds will benefit Music Health Alliance, a nonprofit organization that provides free healthcare advocacy and support, and access to critical life-saving health and financial resources for the music industry.

In its fourth consecutive year, Julien’s Auctions has partnered with Music Health Alliance in offering a rare collection of handwritten lyrics from some of the most legendary singers and songwriters from the 20th and 21st centuries. Spanning in genres from country, pop, rock, gospel/Ccm, americana, hip-hop/rap and alternative rock, they generously offered to handwrite and sign the lyrics of some of their greatest hits and music’s most enduring classics to aid and support underserved members of the music community in times of need.

Megan Thee Stallion makes her film debut in the upcoming flick, with the all-star ensemble also featuring Nathan Lane, Megan Mullally, Bowen Yang, as well as introducing Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp.

The musical — from the producers of “The Greatest Showman” — will be making it’s world premiere as the opening night film of Midnight Madness at the Toronto International Film Festival.

It’s not your average release, with Megan Thee Stallion rapping for people to “get in line, drop on your knees and suck my f**king d**k” in a track in the teaser.

The 65 British Film Institute (BFI) London Film Festival has unveiled its full program and the headline galas include several films that have been gaining fame recently.

Among the galas are Pablo Larrain’s “Spencer,” with Kristen Stewart; Jane Campion’s “The Power of the Dog,” with Benedict Cumberbatch; Reinaldo Marcus Green’s “King Richard,” with Will Smith; and Wes Anderson’s “The French Dispatch,” featuring a host of stars including Timothée Chalamet, Tilda Swinton and Léa Seydoux.

The galas also include Kenneth Branagh’s “Belfast,” Paul Verhoeven’s “Benedetta,” Eva Husson’s “Mothering Sunday,” Edgar Wright’s “Last Night in Soho,” Maggie Gyllenhaal’s “The Lost Daughter,” Joanna Hogg’s “The Souvenir: Part II” and Sarah Smith and Jean Philippe-Vine’s “Ron’s Gone Wrong.”

Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie Sells Catalog Rights to Hipgnosis

Seven months after Hipgnosis Songs Fund bought 100 percent of Lindsey Buckingham’s publishing rights, the Merck Mercuriadis-led group has acquired the catalog of fellow Fleetwood Mac member Christine McVie.

The deal includes every song McVie penned both with the band and solo, including the Mac hits “Say You Love Me,” “Little Lies,” “Don’t Stop,” “You Make Loving Fun,” “Think About Me,” “Save Me” and many more.

“I am so excited to belong to the Hipgnosis family, and thrilled that you all regard my songs worthy of merit,” McVie said in a statement.
