Summaries

  • THE 716TH is a wildly fun, sci-fi adventure short film about a pair of unlikely heroes: two insubordinate non-automated combat medics and their admirably brave but poorly conceived, at times comical attempt to rescue a pair of injured infantry soldiers.—ICD Entertainment, Inc.
  • RAK WAR. YEAR 42. When you're one of the last human combat medics, underfunded and unappreciated for decades in a galactic war, you don't always follow orders. So when Doc (Andrew Bowen) and Asher (John Asher) discover that command has abandoned a pair of injured soldiers on an alien planet, they concoct a risky and unauthorized plan to save them. The heroic but poorly conceived rescue doesn't go quite the way they hoped, sending Doc and the soldiers (Lauren McFall and Taj Speights) on a wild and bumpy ride none of them expected. THE 716TH is the ambitiously scoped comedic sci-fi adventure film from writer/director Andrew Bowen. Made on a shoestring budget, the film is the result of the year and a half Bowen and his team dedicated to bringing this sci-fi universe life. Featuring endearing characters, laugh-out-loud moments, impressive production design and VFX, THE 716TH marks a wildly fun and noteworthy debut from Bowen and the small group of talented artists who helped him bring this expansive and fun science-fiction universe to life.—ICD Entertainment, Inc.
