Zero Hour: Crisis in Time 30th Anniversary Special is written by Dan Jurgens and drawn by an all-star roster of artists. Throughout the one-shot, Kyle Rayner fights alongside the heroes of a lost Earth, created by Hal Jordan while he was under the influence of Parallax.

At the end, Kyle is victorious over Parallax, but as a result of the battle, the Fear Entity is once again unleashed on the universe.

Per Screen Rant, fans received their first look at Superboy's season 3 debut via the cartoon's San Diego Comic-Con panel, showing off the Boy of Steel in Connor Kent's trademark leather jacket and sunglasses. The Swimpedia X page also confirmed that four and a half episodes of My Adventures with Superman season 3 have been written and the premiere was already recorded, with Kara Zor-El joining Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen as a primary lead. While Marvel has thrived far more with its live-action films over the years, DC has been the opposite with its most consistent work produced in animation. Since 2007, Warner Bros. has produced straight-to-home video animated DC films that have gained a cult following and continue to this day. DC's approach to these 51 projects has changed a lot since 2007, and they now fall under James Gunn and Peter Safran's newly formed DC Studios.

Superman & Lois is unlucky that it began as the older regime at The CW was coming to an end. Superman & Lois, more likely than not, would've followed suit with The Flash and Arrow, continuing for close to ten years. But with Nexstar making major changes to The CW's programming, including canceling Arrowverse shows like Batwoman and Stargirl, Superman & Lois was never going to survive for a long time on the network.

Thankfully, Superman & Lois wasn't canceled, as it was given a final season to make sure everything closed out satisfyingly. However, The CW's renewal comes at a cost as nearly all the series regulars from Season 3, barring the Kent family, will be guest stars in the upcoming season. The budget cuts threaten to be a problem, but so far from the teaser trailer that The CW released for Season 4, the quality looks to be similar.

Though they've made a fraction of the box office of even the worst DC live-action movie, creatively the crown jewel of DC Comics adaptations lies in their animated movies. While the MCU has gotten a lot of attention in recent years, DC used to be the top dog making superhero movies the public raved about, and many of their classics are available to stream right now on HBO Max. From animated adaptations to Tim Burton's Batman films and the entire Dceu, DC fans have a massive amount of content to get through on Max.

The years spent by Bruce Wayne training to become a crimefighter are some of the most fascinating in the Batman mythos, and have been explored in multiple ways across various mediums. A new DC animated feature, Batman: Soul of the Dragon now offers the intriguing prospect of a 1970s-set story wherein a young Bruce embarks on the path to martial arts mastery. We recently received the trailer and first clip from the film, and now have an introduction to Richard Dragon, one of the main characters from the Bruce Timm-produced movie.

In the video, which you can catch above, voice actor Mark Dacascos describes how we meet Dragon in the 1970s as a super spy who trained with Bruce alongside master O-Sensei. We then see Dragon in training, and being pointed out by O-Sensei to Bruce, foreshadowing the partnership between the two depicted in the recent trailer. At this point,...

Batman: Soul of the Dragon sounds like an interesting departure from the usual slate of DC animated movies. The story is set during the 1970s and follows a young Bruce Wayne on the path of martial arts mastery. We’ll see him training with and battling other elite martial artists, including Richard Dragon, Ben Turner and Lady Shiva, all of whom are under the tutelage of O-Sensei.

We don’t know too much about the plot just yet, but the synopsis has teased that the students will have to face off against “a deadly menace from the past.” Who this is remains a mystery, but given the location the film is set in, the kung fu movie tone and the 1970s time period, I think the chances are good that the menace will be a bare-chested Ra’s al Ghul.

ABC’s venerable soap General Hospital leads all shows and CBS and Amazon Prime Video top all networks in nominations for the 47th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, which were unveiled Thursday. Winners will be revealed June 26 during a live virtual ceremony on CBS, returning the awards show to broadcast primetime for the first time since 2011.

General Hospital scored a total of 23 noms, edging rivals NBC’s Days of Our Lives (22 noms) and CBS’ Young and the Restless (21) and The Bold and the Beautiful (13). The digital soaps followed, led by Netflix’s Eastsiders and Amazon Prime’s Studio City both with eight noms apiece.

All four broadcast soaps are up for the top drama series honor, while Eastsiders and Studio City are joined by Amazon Prime’s After Forever, The Bay The Series and Dark/Web in the top digital drama race.

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Superman: Red Son. This serves as an animated adaptation of Mark Millar's famous 2003 Elseworlds tale that paints the hero we all know in a very different light. Instead of growing up in Kansas, what if Kal-El had grown up in the Soviet Union? As we can see from this trailer, the answer to that question is one that completely recontextualizes the famed DC hero and puts him at the center of a world war. Instead of being a symbol of hope, he's a symbol of fear.

The trailer opens up by turning a classic Superman bit on its head. We see the Soviet version of the hero flying from the sky and a woman down below says, "Look! Up in the sky!" Yet, instead of sounding enthused or curious, she sounds terrified. We then see the world discovering who this mysterious...

Wonder Woman: Bloodlines takes a melodramatic step back from the greatness of DC's last two years of animated films. There's action a plenty and a fair amount of entertainment value, but the story does not match the excellence of recent offerings. The script by Mairghread Scott treads sappy. The mother, daughter, and sister dynamics explored become soap opera-esque. The villains are underdeveloped with a muddy agenda. I wanted more depth from the Villainy Inc. storyline. Wonder Woman: Bloodlines is watchable in its mediocrity, but is not comparable with The Death of Superman, its sequel Reign of the Supermen, and the superb Batman: Hush.

Home Entertainment returns to New York Comic Con with two spotlight events - the World Premiere of the latest DC Universe Movie, Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, and a celebration of the 20th anniversary of Batman Beyond and its upcoming remastered release on Blu-ray - over the October 3-6, 2019 weekend at the Javits Center.

Presentations will include a film premiere and never-before-seen remastered footage, discussions with production/acting talent, a special autograph signing, and exclusive prizes for inquisitive fans. DC has offered a first look at their new animated adaptation of Superman: Red Son and the full voice cast has also been announced along with the characters they are playing.

The film is an adaptation of Mark Millar's 2003 famed Elseworlds tale, which posed the question, "What if Superman had been raised in the Soviet Union?"

In the midst of all the movie, TV and comic book announcements and trailers that we got at this year’s Comic-Con, the upcoming slate of DC animated films being revealed was one of the most exciting. After all, Warner Bros. Animation has a pretty good track record when it comes to these and they’ve got a lot of good stuff coming down the pipeline, with Superman: Red Son perhaps being the one that grabbed the most attention back in July.

If you’re not familiar with the source material, Red Son was initially published as an Elseworlds story written by Mark Millar and illustrated by Dave Johnson. In short, it explored what would’ve happened if baby Kal-El’s ship had landed in Soviet Russia instead of Smallville, Kansas. And now, we have our first look at what the animated version will be like thanks to the photo in the gallery down below.
