I stumbled upon this movie quite randomly, and seeing Aishwarya Lekshmi on the poster, I decided to give it a try. Now, I just wish I hadn't watched it.
The story revolves around the reunion of two childhood rivals who become best friends, but their friendship is short-lived as they both fall for the same girl, reigniting their rivalry.
On paper, it sounds interesting-a mix of romance, comedy, and drama-but it all fails miserably due to poor writing and the miscasting of one of the lead roles. The movie begins by setting up the premise well, but once it reaches the point where both leads fall in love, it turns absurd and illogical. The reason behind the girl's interest in dating both guys is never established, especially since she has a past with one of them. Everything seems to happen on its own accord, with logic taking a backseat.
Ashok Selvan, in the lead, did his part well and was apt for the role. He carried the movie to a large extent. Aishwarya Lekshmi looked as pretty as ever and acted well too, despite her poorly written character. However, Vasanth Ravi was miscast; he couldn't act convincingly, and his chemistry with both leads felt off. Frankly, he didn't seem fit to play a lead role.
The movie's overall tone suited its genre, and the color palette and cinematography worked in its favor. However, the jokes fell flat, and the climax was the most irritating part. The childish fight sequence between the male leads and the guest entry of another girl felt cringeworthy. Even the songs were forgettable, adding only to the runtime.
Overall, this movie can be skipped, as it offers little to enjoy. Even fans of the lead actors might find it disappointing.
