The first two minutes had me worried as it was the overdone death trope but once past that the first episode was surprisingly good, handling the introduction of the protagonist followed by the "training montage" fairly well.

The following episodes included entertaining Mech plus Magic in the best possible way, and surprisingly the technical breakdown during the R&D portions was entertaining as a bit of realism was introduced.

The single other detracting factor was the evil masterminds, they were a over the top and cliched.

Look forward to a 2nd season, it deserves one.

Pros:

• Refreshing twist on the high magic world.
• Rulers skeptical approach is reasonable.
• Well dome redemption arc.
• Narration to help summarize larger events.
• Consistent and good quality animation.
• Above average English Dubbing.
• No hidden harem cheese.

Cons:

• First 2 minutes almost killed my interest due to the overly abused Isekai trope.
• Only one season.
• Some predictability.

It's a masterpiece in mecha anime. I don't like mecha anime much but this anime caught my eye and I think it was worth to was. This is a story of a boy who is a programmer. After a accident reincarnated into a world where magic is real and knights who are like robots controlled by magic. This boy is a true genius into that world and made history. You really should give it a watch. I really recommend it. I gave 9* because the graphics was a little dull to me. But never mind.

Till now it is the best mecha anime ever!!!!

I am eagerly waiting for season 2.

I doesn't prefer mecha animes. But i found this on internet that people were a saying a worth watch mecha series and indeed it is. Go for it guyz if you are transformer fan go for it.i loved it and waiting for season 2.
