The soundtrack, composed by Olivier Deriviere, is completely dynamic. The background music actively adapts and meshes together with any situation or sound effect occurring within each scene.
The game contains a couple references to well known films. One of the patients in the asylum is named John Keating, after Robin Williams character in Dead Poets Society (1989). If you look at his chart, it says he was a literature teacher just like in the film. Another patient is named Leonard Shelby, after Guy Pearce's character in Memento (2000), who had severe amnesia just like the character in the game.
