An over-enthusiastic superhero, already struggling to motivate her team, has her legitimacy brought into question after a famous hard-nosed superhero pays the team a visit, in this super-powered mockumentary.

The Bushwick Baron is a historically black superhero mantle that has been passed down for generations. However, with the city's changing demographics in lieu of gentrification, the current Bushwick Baron is Tracy Buckthorpe (Catherine Beckett), a young white transplant. Despite overwhelming negative response from the community, and a lack of support from her superhero team: The Bushwick Brigade, The Baron maintains a sense of enthusiasm bordering on delusional. However, things take a turn when a world-famous superhero, turned hard-nosed detective: Vicky 'Smokestar' Vander (Lara Goldie) pays the team a visit. Vander, a personal hero of The Baron, informs the team of their biggest challenge yet, only to then prohibit them from participating. Now The Bushwick Baron must decide: does she uphold the law, or become the superhero she's always dreamed of being.—Jonald Sutherland
