What Happened To The Cast Of Smallville?
Image
It's hard to imagine this now, considering the stranglehold that superhero films and television series have had on Hollywood over the past decade and a half, but in the early 2000s, developing a show about a superhero -- even a top-tier one like Superman -- was not guaranteed to be a slam dunk. It's a testament to the charming, borderline addictive nature of "Smallville" that it not only existed on the fledgling CW network, but thrived there for 10 seasons from 2001 to 2011.

In telling the story of Clark Kent's (Tom Welling) teen and young adult years growing up in Smallville, the frothy superhero drama introduced audiences to a crop of upcoming actors who made their mark both on "Smallville" and beyond. While some are still acting to this day, others have taken interesting career -- and personal life -- turns over the years that may surprise fans of the show. Here's the main cast of "Smallville,...

Fox's New Crime Drama Makes Up For Reacher Wasting Kristin Kreuk
Image
Reacher has featured various stars over the course of its two seasons and 16 episodes (with more to come in season 3), including Kristin Kreuk. But the Amazon Prime Video action crime TV series wasted Kreuk's talent, and, thankfully, the actress has a new series on the horizon that will thrust her into the spotlight. Whereas Kreuk was only a recurring member of the Reacher season 1 cast, she is set to star as a series regular in the upcoming Fox crime drama.

Filming for Reacher season 3, which will be based on Lee Child's Persuader (the seventh book in the Reacher series), seemingly concluded in July 2024, but Amazon hasn't announced a release date yet.

Kreuk is most known for her role as Lana Lang in the WB superhero drama TV show Smallville, which served as an origin story for Clark Kent/Superman. Lana was one of Clark's main love interests, and Kreuk...

Why Kristin Kreuk Left Smallville After Season 7
Image
Kristin Kreuk left Smallville after season 7 due to the end of her contract and the show's shift in focus towards Lois Lane's relationship with Clark. Kreuk returned for 5 episodes in season 8 to tie up Lana Lang's storyline and provide closure to her relationship with Clark. Kreuk is open to returning as Lana in a possible Smallville animated sequel, showing continued interest in the beloved character.

Kristin Kreuk starred in the DC Universe series Smallville for eight seasons before departing the show. The actor was only 18 when she first joined the series as Lana Lang, who was featured in some of Smallville's most rewatchable episodes as Clark's longtime crush and eventual love interest. However, as the series ventured further into the Superman mythos, the romance between her character and Clark had to end. It became necessary for the show to shift Clark's romantic relationship instead to one with Lois Lane,...

Canadian dramas like Saving Hope, Broadchurch, or Burden of Truth often have a certain flair.

Image

The good news? AMC Networks has officially renewed Dark Winds for a well-deserved third season. The bad news? The drama, based on the Leaphorn & Chee book series by Tony Hillerman, isn’t expected to return with new episodes until early 2025.

Zahn McClarnon (The Son), Kiowa Gordon, and Jessica Matten (Burden of Truth) lead the cast of the critically acclaimed drama and are expected to return for season three. Season two also featured Deanna Allison (Accused) as Emma Leaphorn and Elva Guerra (Reservation Dogs) as Sally Growing Thunder.

Season two guest stars included Jeri Ryan (Star Trek: Picard) as Rosemary Vines, Nicholas Logan (Dopesick) as Colton Wolf, A Martinez (Longmire) as Valencia County Sheriff Gordo Sena, and Joseph Runningfox (The Politician) as Henry Leaphorn, Lt. Joe Leaphorn’s father.

Dark Winds (2022)
Dark Winds Renewed for Season 3 at AMC
Dark Winds (2022)
Dark Winds will have another case to solve at AMC and AMC+.

The hit drama series has been renewed for Dark Winds Season 3.

A renewal was a no-brainer, with the cabler and its streaming sibling previously touting the show's continued success.

Dark Winds Season 2 averaged 1.7 million viewers during its first three days on the linear cable service.

Numbers for AMC+ have not been made available, but the network indicated that it had a strong footprint on the streaming service as the series aired.

Episodes were made available before their debuts on the service, so there was an incentive for fans to watch it earlier.

"We started this journey with very high hopes for this series, given the remarkable source material and extraordinary creative team behind it, and it has delivered on every level," said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks.

"From the beloved novels,...

Why Did Roman Leave Chicago Pd? His Exit Explained
Image
Officer Sean Roman's departure from Chicago Pd in season 3 was due to a combination of character development and actor Brian Geraghty's desire to pursue other projects. Roman's retirement from the police force was a result of being shot on duty, leaving him with nerve damage in his arm and unable to continue working in the field. Despite leaving the show, Roman returned for an episode in season 7, where it was revealed that he had killed the drug dealer responsible for his sister's death, leaving viewers questioning his hero status.

Officer Sean Roman quickly became a core member of the cast of Chicago Pd after joining the Dick Wolf show in season 2 ― but only made it to season 3 before leaving the series. Roman, played by Brian Geraghty, underwent a lot of character development in his short time on the show, but his exit meant a lot more potential went unfulfilled.
