Engaging Father Christmas is the sequel to Un papa pour Noël (2016). Both of these movies are inspired by the award winning and best selling author Robin Jones Gunn.

Goofs
Midway thru the movie you see Margaret standing from across the field, staring at the cottage (from a distance). To her immediate right there appears a neighbors house, roughly 4+ trees (width), right of the cottage. In other appearances (twice) after this scene, you will see from the same view (from across the field), the neighbors house no longer appears. You can count up to 8 trees (width).. looking right of the cottage - and all you see are only trees. The neighbors house has been blocked-out (of the movie) in the other subsequent scenes, judging from the same view (distance).

Best Hallmark sequel by far.

Those who rated low maybe are expecting award-winning performances. I personally think that this is as good Hallmark gets. Maybe there were a few things I didn't agree with but compared to the messes that there were this year, those where just details.

I was such a fan of the first movie and luckily this one didn't disappointed me. I even understood the family's point of view of the conflict.

Miranda and Ian were even cuter than in the first movie, the chemistry was so much better. And it was kind of predictable from the first moment but it was such a good movie i'm letting that go.

Hallmark does a really good job at making me love Christmas. It really makes me want to sit next to the fire and read while drinking hot chocolate. Cliché, I know.
