Fans noticed clues in Paevey’s recent Instagram posts that he could make a return to Hallmark. He’s attending a fan event this year. He was listed on a flyer for “A Small Town Christmas” in Dahlonega, Georgia. The event takes place from July 25-27. The event organizers, Decade Days, shared that it will be “an unforgettable holiday experience.”

Paevey will be joined by Arielle Kebbel and Chad Michael Murray. Fans wondered if this was his soft launch back into acting. Paevey expressed an interest in returning to Hallmark. He said that he would try to network with the media company during his time there.

Wheel of Fortune had a very rare occurrence on the game show. All three contestants spun Bankrupt in a row, one of them twice, as host Ryan Seacrest asked them if they were having issues with the wheel. During the Mystery Round, Beck didn’t pick up the Mystery wedge that could have given her $10,000, or possibly made her Bankrupt, but in hindsight, the Bankrupt wouldn’t have mattered. However, the Prize Puzzle was where the bad luck started for everyone. Beck, a biochemistry student who started dental school, went first. She guessed a few letters before landing on Bankrupt. After guessing one letter, Goodman also landed on Bankrupt.

Filming has begun in Scotland on Big Beach’s adaptation of Borges And Me starring Fionn Whitehead, Luis Gnecco, and Alan Cumming.

Marc Turtletaub directs from a screenplay by Oren Moverman in which the memoir’s author Jay Parini finds himself stuck in a Morris Minor chauffeuring the brilliant, blind Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges through Scotland in 1970.

As a young student, Parini harbours dreams of becoming a writer and struggles to make sense of the 70-year-old, irrepressible Borges, until events take a surreal turn, leading the men to a place where they find common ground. The cast includes Peter Mullan and Harriet Sansom Harris.

VR specialists Survios has announced Alien: Rogue Incursion, a first-person, single-player “frightfully immersive” videogame.

The Alien franchise celebrates its 45th anniversary on the 25th May, and there’s already a xenomorph-flavoured sequel – August’s Alien: Romulus – planned to help celebrate.

We’ve also learned there’s a new videogame based on the series in the works. Called Alien: Rogue Incursion, it’s billed as the first virtual reality outing for the Alien – which means, of course, you’ll need one of those fancy VR helmets to play it.

English band Broadcast will release two new demo collections in 2024: Spell Blanket – Collected Demos 2006-2009 (out May 3rd) and Distant Call – Collected Demos 2000-2006 (out September 28th).

Broadcast, the electronic dream pop project of James Cargill and Trish Keenan, who died of pneumonia in 2011, previously reissued their entire discography in 2015. Now, Cargill is unearthing dozens of demos collected over a 10-year span. According to a press release, Spell Blanket comprises of “songs and sketches” from Trish’s “extensive archive of 4-track tapes and MiniDiscs” that would have eventually served as Broadcast’s fifth album.

Distant Call, on the other hand, comprises of early demos that eventually would appear on their albums Haha Sound, Tender Buttons, and The Future Crayon. Retailing for $140 and available on Sideshow, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon figure stands just short of nine inches tall and features multiple points of articulation. The item also comes with "Burst Stream of Destruction" Effect parts, meaning purchasers can recreate the artwork from the cards or their favorite moments from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime. Marc Turtletaub’s otherworldly Jules, written by Gavin Steckler, shot by Christopher Norr and scored by Volker Bertelmann (Oscar for Best Original Score of Edward Berger’s All Quiet On The Western Front), stars Ben Kingsley with Harriet Sansom Harris, Jane Curtin, Zoë Winters, and Jade Quon as the title character. The first time I spoke with Marc Turtletaub he was with Kelly Macdonald, star of his Puzzle (screenplay co-written by Oren Moverman) at Sony Pictures Classics. His producer credits include Jeff Nichols’ Loving (based in part on Nancy Buirski's The Loving Story), Marielle Heller’s A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood, Davy Rothbart’s 17 Blocks, as executive producer Robin Wright’s Land, and an Oscar nomination for Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton’s Little Miss Sunshine.
