Luis Guzmán and Omar Sy in Le flic de Belleville (2018)

Trivia

Le flic de Belleville

Edit
Developed by the director in 2011 with Jamel Debbouze and Queen Latifah.
The Filming Begins in March 2017 in Paris, in particular in the 20e arrondissement. It was then held in Miami and Los Angeles as well as in Bogota, Colombia.
Filmed (partially) in Miami, Florida.
To write the scenario of the Belleville Cop, Rachid Bouchareb appealed to the scriptwriter Larry Gross, author of the cult buddy movies 48 Hrs. and Another 48 Hrs. with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte.
In 2011, Rachid Bouchareb announced his desire to make an "American trilogy" on relations between the United States and the "Arab world". The first of the three films must then be the Belleville Cop buddy movie, with Jamel Debbouze and Queen Latifah. The first is finally the TV movie Just Like a Woman, road movie with Sienna Miller and Golshifteh Farahani broadcast in 2012. It is followed by The Way of the Enemy (2014), with Forest Whitaker, Harvey Keitel and Luis Guzmán. The project was then renamed Le Cop de Belleville for France. The main roles are then taken over in 2017 by Omar Sy and Luis Guzmán.
