Paramount+ released the official Dreaming of a Freaking Fairy Tale trailer and poster ahead of the drama’s September 26, 2024 streaming debut. All 10 episodes of the South Korean series with the catchy title will drop at once.

“In Dreaming of a Freaking Fairy Tale, Shin Jae-rim dreams of becoming a modern-day Cinderella and trading her current boring life for one of luxury and leisure. But landing her Prince Cha-min isn’t easy—not only is Moon Cha-min her boss, but he’s also engaged to another woman,” reads Paramount+’s synopsis. “Can Jae-rim find love with the man of her dreams…or will she discover that the true path to happiness is found within herself?”

The original series was created by television screenwriter Baek Mi-kyoung whose resume includes Strong Girl Bong-Soon, The Lady In Dignity, and Mine. Yu-ja wrote the drama and Kim Min-kyeong directed.

They will also be licensed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of Korea, Japan and Taiwan.

Produced by Studio Dragon and Ace Factory, Dongjae, The Good Or The Bastard is a spin-off of thriller series Stranger, revolving around one of the series’ characters, a lawyer called Seo Dongjae. In the spin-off series, he takes on the murder case of a high school girl and is conflicted between his intuition as a prosecutor and his instinct as an opportunist.

Paramount+ has unveiled three new Korean TV shows which it will launch in selected international territories including North America, the U.K. and parts of continental Europe.

The announcement was made on Wednesday at the Apos convention in Indonesia, operated by Media Partners Asia, by Catherine Park, Paramount’s senior VP and head of streaming & regional lead, Asia, and Yang Si-kwon, head of content at TVing.

The three new titles “Dongjae, The Good Or The Bastard,” “Dreaming Of Cinde Fxxxing Rella” and “Pyramid Game” bring to seven the total number committed by Paramount+ and Korean streaming service TVing as part of Paramount’s global partnership with leading entertainment company Cj Enm.
