It's an OK movie, but not as good as the first. Nothing memorable. Story is somewhat similar to the first - police hunting down gang leader. Good enough as a pastime.

Heroine, no match to Trisha. Comedian, no match to Vivek.

Vikram is a bit out of shape, but it's impossible for a 52 year old man to look like a 28 year old. Passable as someone in late 30s but definitely not 28.

One of the worst sequel in tamil cinema. I lost interest when they missed calculating the year of the plot which should actually be around 2030s as per the plot/subject/story, for which they shouldn't at least given some sort of explanation but nothing was done from where the interest was totally lost as it was a huge logical loop hole. Story not conveyed properly, no gripping screenplay, worst comedy scenes, no twists or turns, nothing special, just a waste 2+ hours. Disasterous, I got eye irritation after a while.

Saamy 1 is considered as one of the best cop movies, a major break-through in Vikram's career, the songs of the movie are still fresh to listen, Vivekh had talked about social injustice through his comedy, and punch dialogues are still enjoyed.

Director Hari has overturned it and made a complete mess out of it. The movie adds up nothing new or intriguing or at least makes sense and the plot descends into complete mayhem. Adding to the misery is the role of Keerthy Suresh as Ramsaamy's love interest and Soori's comedy. I just couldn't withstand his dull, dreary, stupid, lifeless comedy.

Saamy Square comes down to nothing but damaging and destroying the reputations of its prequel. I still couldn't understand why Vikram agreed to do something like this and degrade a character which was highly appreciated and made him a Star.

Full Of Headache Songs Was Not Good Villain Over Action Too Over

What's wrong with Vikram these days? His choices of films since the smash blockbuster ANNIYAN have all sank without a trace or failed to make impressions. We know he's a fantastic performer, but why he is one of the verstaile few who continues to make misfires than strike gold?

The latest being this atrocious sequel, SAAMY SQUARE. Directed by Hari no less. The man who churned out more SINGAM series of films cranked up with 10 times the decibels at high speed, you'd think the original director, who paved way to one of the Masala greats of 2003, would do the same for the sequel.

Nope. Cracks are visible. First the recap of SAAMY, Trisha, who was signed on to reprise her role, eventually called it quits and backed out of the sequel (first smart move she did.) Result? Cast that Aishwarya Rajesh and digitally insert her in the key scenes from SAAMY, resulting in RETCONNING the film. Course, you can't fool the TN audience (Bollywood audience maybe.)

Next up, Bobby Simha as Perumal Pitchai's son (Kota Srinivasa Rao in the memorable original.) Result? More gruff, constipated expressions and higher decibels and less take on performance.

Ok so leaving that, how about the foot-tapping numbers by HARRIS JAYARAJ? Earlier he too was signed on for the sequel, but come launch time, DEVI SRI PRASAD replaced him. Result? Not even a single good song.

The story? What story? Oh you mean the story where Aarusaamy gets killed in the first half, then his next of kin (also played by Vikram) who works as an IAS officer in Delhi, when barraged into an injured policewala becomes "posessed" by Aarusaamy's ghost of rage's past and begins his "Jaisa Baap, waisa Beta" rampage? Yeah that's the story more or less. Oh and Keerthy Suresh and Soori are in this one too but they're more nuisances and add zero value.

Vikram continues his misfires in film selection while stalwarts like Kamal Haasan, who's shown his life/breath of Cinema deserve more applauise and acclaim that they should. Instead the TN audience continues to be fooled and give these stupid masalas a run for their money.

Worst sequel ever. music - wasted. should have opted for harris jeyaraj heroine - worstu .. screenplay - very very bad compared to other hari movies totally waste of time watching this and watching soori comedy will give you headaches

I don't know why a actor like doing a movie like this

Saamy square is an yet another example of a commercial movie stuck in a stereotype tamil story. Saamy part 1 was one of its kind where the team introduced new concept. When a cop story sequalae is planned, it shud always be planned to outperform the prequel and concentrate on wise story scripts as the concept is no longer new. It shud be carefully tailored with intelligence nuggets, forensic points, facts, twists and many more. Saamy 2 has failed to skillfully harness those trump cards. Comedy has been a big failure as well. Vikrams stunt scenes are good. For a 52 year old, he has done fairly well. Keerty has fairly done her part as well. In short the movie tasted like a "bland biryani".

Samy Square is totally a Horrible movie to watch, absolutely there is no story. Only vengeful drama against Aarusamy's son Ramasamy and Perumal Pichchai's son Ravana Pichchai. Vikram as usually did his best in this movie, Bobby Simha as a Villain steals the show. Keerthy Suresh acting is totally 0, I'm not sure why the director chose this nepotistic actress. I'm just giving 2 stars, Just for Vikram and Bobby Simha that's all.

Don't understand why vikram agreed to do this movie.such a pathetic cliche plot and dialogues were just awful.only good thing to say about the movie is Boby simha.!! Please don't make such pathetic sequels.!!!

Worst Movie. Nobody acted very good in the movie. The movie had many unwanted scenes especially Soori and Keerthi Suresh scenes. The comedy scenes were worst. This movie should not be Saamy 2 because the movie had no connection to Saamy except the name. Many characters were added for no reason. Songs and BGM in the movie were also worst. This movie is one of the worst movie of Vikram and Hari.

Introduction was not good enough for vikaram, flash back of father vikaram's story was not touching at all.

Love scenes were boring, no scenes were attractive to watch, songs are not good at all.

Action scenes was very nice, as usual vikaram's action scenes are one of the best.

Climax was expected and no twist and turn in the movie at all. Just action and firing at each other.

Combination of scene of Vikaram and Bobby could have been much more better.

The movie was good in terms of acting,photography and song(some of them ) but what I felt was lacking was the script.It was glimpses of Singam and the story was very simple and fighting sequences were too much.Comedy was superb .Should you watch this movie with your family? Yes

Vikram has an unique acting skill in this ..... an other epic performance of the versatile actor . Bobby Simha was a matching villain for him ...

The direction and the cinematography of the movie was done so well. There are many goosebumps guaranteed scenes . This movie is a pure entertainment.

Not like other Hari movies. You can feel the difference while watching. Vikram what a man he is adapting the role easily. Interval scene was excellent. Second half was interesting

Why regional got backlash but i really enjoyed the energy of vikram in hindi dub it was massy film & todays time Bollywood is dull when it comes to mass film now this is actually authentic massy film.

Good entertaining movie. Good to see second parts for this movie and expect third part
