OK first of all, I am a huge Gordon Ramsay fan, but I absolutely hate what Fox has done to him. Kitchen Nightmares, Hotel Hell, Hell's Kitchen all ridiculous pablum for a zombified US audience, and The F Word may be the worst of them all.
If you've seen the original Channel 4 series from the UK please look away now and don't hazard a single moment of this watered down Gordon Goes to Hollywood version of the F Word, you will despise this series. Totally scripted, none of Gordon's natural charm and personality shows through, and worst of all....its BORING! But thats exactly what we've come to expect from Fox. Trust me, if you are a fan of Gordon F'ing Ramsay, plug into the original F Word series from the UK, its probably the best cooking show of all time. This poor reinvention won't make it to Season 2.

I have watched the UK version over and over. Launched in 2005 the show was 5 seasons and it was truly an entertaining show. After watching the US version, I have to say it's pretty close to the UK one with the following exceptions (hope you read this Gordon or the Producers)
01 Gordon please put on your Chef Whites. 02 Amp up the volume when you interview your guests because the room ambient noise over powers what they say. 03 Why did you do away with the original intro?? where you change into your Chef Whites while walking in... 04 Last but not least, thank you for reviving a classic!!
Cheers

Incredibly bad.
Pompous guy, who doubtless can cook, has taken his popularity to a new low. Goodness knows it is difficult to find truly interesting viewing opportunities when TV providers try for 24/7/365 content. As a member of the Nielson polling community, I am asked to "test" things. Tested this.
If IMDb had a rating lower than zero, this show would get that. That bad.
Grab a recipe, go to your kitchen, create something.
Your day will be much better.

After watching the first episode, I was "meh, boring and nothing special". The entire premise of these teams cooking in Gordon Ramsay's restaurant is sort of boring, and when watching a television show with Gordon Ramsay in it, I expect his crappy (yet enjoyable) attitude and harassment he is best know for, and missing in this show. His celebrity guests that come to the restaurant are also boring and in my opinion, of no use to this show.
BUT... my increase in score after watching more episodes (because nothing else more interesting was on TV), is mainly due to his hilarious candid camera disguised appearances (yesterday's visit to his Vegas restaurant had me in stitches laughing out loud!), his Guinness Record attempts (excellent feature to add to the show) and his cook-offs with celebrities. I also like learning some of his recipes he cooks on his show.
And for these entertaining focal points consistently played out on each episode, my score has doubled. Please don't stop these, and increase them in length and numbers.
From a 4/10 to an 8/10. If he could be a little more of the prick we're all used to and expect, my score may go up even more! ;)

I was a fan of The F word,..but the US version misses the notes that made the UK version likable,..make the stars cook the meals. The makeup gag by Tony Gardner and his EFX crew was awesome. But the rest of the show was disjointed and didn't make sense. I'd rather watch Masterchef or Masterchef Junior,..hell Masterchef Canada is better. Just saying this show had awkward editing and made me feel that I could turn it off at any moment,..and not miss a thing. I rather watch him doing what made him famous or reviewing Hotels.
