Salaar is about this city of Khansaar (a place outside India), where Raja Mannar (Jagapathi Babu) plans to make his son Vardharaja Mannar (Prithviraj Sukumaran) his successor. However, Raja Mannar’s ministers and advisors plan a coup d’état (an illegal and overt attempt by a military) to kill them by hiring armies from Russia and Serbia to attack Vardharaja and Khansaar.
