Just great

Saw at a film festival.

Really really nice short film.

Good in all ways, technically and story wise.

Stereotypical, poorly written, and dull

This is the worst example of a writer telling instead of showing i've ever seen, to the point that it was unwatchable. The story was bland and predictable, the interactions (especially online comments) made me physically cringe, and there was no room to interpret anything at all, making it incredibly boring to watch. The shots themself were nothing interesting but not horrible, and would have been totally fine if the script was written by someone halfway competent. It felt less like watching a film and more like someone telling me their idea for one. It could have been a really interesting introspection into loneliness and isolation but it ended up feeling more like an anti bullying psa shown at an elementary school.

a beautiful parable

I saw it as profound inspired parable of being different and the bullying as answer from society, discover the other like you and, after a time, understanding the borders between you and him, and , sure, in , maybe, too idealistic way, the solidarity, the support.

And the internet as axis off comunication. I was seduced by the performance of TJ O Grady Peyton and, in good measure, by voice of Jarvis Cocker .

Result, in my case, some serious gratitude to the effort and final result of Benjamin Cleary and TJ O Grady Peyton, appreciating , as East European the simple detail than English was the victim of language accident of Gasper Rubicon.
