When Yo Gabba Gabba was cancelled in 2015, Boston Globe wrote an article about its cancellation. Magic Store and ITunes had two ideas for new shows to replace YGG, Bitz and Bob and Hot Seat, Hot Seat was the one mentioned in the Boston Globe article, which meant Bitz and Bob would come later, so Hot Seat was then show to replace Yo Gabba Gabba. Hot Seat was briefly renamed Hot Spot, and then there was a rumor about a backdoor season which was the final season of Yo Gabba Gabba as well as Hot Seat's first season. Later, a character named Tricket was created, and Hot Seat was renamed Rad Lands.
