I must say Yeon Woo-jin deserves so much more recognition. I can easily see him being one of the A-list stars of K-drama with his acting skills and visuals.
This drama was beautiful. It was a bitter-sweet journey that challenges the viewer emotionally. It made me laugh, smile, and cry throughout the occurrence of the events.
The sweetness of Park Min-young and Woo-jin's manly man attitude made me swoon! This drama will keep you on your toes with the suspense.
A lovely drama, one of the best historical Kdrama's I have watched.

Queen for 7 Days is definitely one of my all-time favorite Korean dramas. Everything was so on point: the plot, pace, acting, cinematography, soundtrack, everything! Each episode of this drama ended with a cliffhanger which make the audiences craving for more (until you reach the last episode). Even though this drama is based on the history, I could say that the writer is very genius to deliver the story beautifully. This drama is one of a piece which could not be easily forgotten. For those who are craving for beautiful sad love story, please watch this drama!

What a beautiful ending!! The directing and acting are so moving. You feel the love that the king and queen have for each other until the last days of their lives together (but apart). The sacrifice the queen made to preserve their lives/love and to help the king accomplish his duty as King of Joseon during the 15-16th century. Expertly portrayed through these outstanding actors and actresses. This will be one of my all time favorite drama. Highly recommended it! Park Min Young and Male leads Yeon Woo Jin and Lee Dong Gun are wonderful actors. The chemistry between them is spot on! The writing and directing are phenomenal along with beautiful original sound tracks that will make you laugh, cry, and yearn for the happy ending. All the current scenes and flashbacks were cleverly done.

I thought the title says it all and there's not much too look forward to. Interestingly, it was a good drama. The acting of the cast was great. The ending was sad but at-least it was realistic. Overall, this drama should be included of one of the good historical dramas.
...a devastating, heartbreaking series that will break your heart a thousand times more after realizing that most of those things actually happened in real life, then this show is for you.
But seriously though: This is one of those stories where you're constantly sad and frustrated because you don't want to accept that someone can be this unlucky, that this truly happened to these poor souls, and yet you can't stop watching because you're hooked. And the cast's outstanding performance is one the reasons why.
Judging by this only, you will not be disappointed.
But be ready to shed a few tears if you're gonna watch this.

... despite almost giving up on it a number of times. I love K dramas and have enjoyed many of their historical genre, but this did not work for me. It is hard to put my finger on why, but perhaps it is because the whole production needed to work so hard to create a romance out of the historical source. The plotting in particular seemed to be overly desperate at times. This gave the key characters actions and motivations that stretched credibility. Although some fine acting was on display, the challenge of rendering their characters believable was insurmountable.
Clearly many other reviewers disagree with me, but I can only proffer my own response to this drama.

I've just finished watching this non-English drama and I must admit that It's always gonna be one of my favorite series. the fact that it was based on real story, make it more memorial and tangible to me. I liked the story and the best part was the acting of lead actors especially Dong Gun Lee which portrayed the role of king. I'm truly fascinated by him from first episode. But I should say that I didn't like musics.
This series is based on the real life story of King Jungjong and Queen Dan Kyung who was deposed seven days after becoming Queen. The leads are played by Park Min Young and Yeon Woo Jin who both do a superb job with convincing chemistry. The whole cast are believable especially the child actors who are outstanding in their roles. It covers twenty episodes and most of the plot is paced very well with twists and turns which are enough to keep you invested. It is a sad story but does not become too maudlin, and there are entertaining side stories and characters. Overall a very enjoyable series and definitely worth a watch.

We really like the historical, costume romance series. This had great costumes, personalities. Humor along with action and the plot was different than most of the other ones we've seen when the topic has been royalty. I would've given it a much higher rating if it hadn't had so much cleavage. Like when the king was in his night Chambers with the concubine by his side. These shows are so entertaining. You do not need to add the immodesty. The Bath scenes Are usually very well done in good taste. However, this one had some spots that were not good. As far as modesty goes, please consider this when you make these series..

This series would have been better if shortened by several episodes. There are some repetitive scenes of angst and political intrigue. If things were simplified the story would have had more impact. Park Min Young is lovely. The notorious king seemed more bad tempered than evil. There should have been more depictions of his wicked deeds. The middle part is boring. Things pick up during the last few episodes when everything comes to a head.

This series is so under rated it deserves an Oscar!!! This has to be thee best Historical show I have ever seen.....The actors where perfectly chosen they did more than act they brought me actually visualise the historic tragedy yet such justice justice for a greater good! It portraits that love is far greater than 2 people, its more about sacrifice.....lots of respect for Park Min Young! Yeon Woo-jin I cannot even describe how good you are! You should be an A-list actor your performances always brings me to tears!

Realistically, the drama was mostly about the backstory, the queen for 7 days turned out to be the queen for 7 minutes. The spoiler/teaser introduction and that first episode in general left a bad taste in my mouth. There was no need to show moments from 18 episodes later this early, if their intent was to try to hook the viewers by showing spoilers then they failed. And don't even get me started on that loathsome love triangle that seemed to stain the entire drama. The pacing was all over the place-slow moments that dragged on forever and irrelevant sidetracking. The whole sibling rivalry angle was given a generic development. The not so good brother tried to justify himself but the writer didn't put an ounce of effort into that. Really frustrating writing towards the end.
Korean series should try and do better, I expected the girl to eventually go with the older King (the supposed villain) cus he actually cared and was the one in love with her, BUT NO! She went for the prince (who later became a King) who was not exactly in love with her, but was in pity of her. She loved the Prince more than the Prince (now the King) loved her. I expected a twist to the story, but there was known, it was just too predictable just like every other conventional Korean movie or series. Korean producers should learn from Hollywood or the producers of Squid Game. No spoilers at all.
