Not the top but a nice Shiraishi movie

So if you are not familiar with the work of Koji Shiraishi, i coul not recommand you this video, try to watch Noroi or Okaruto first, that will give you an idea of the Shiraishi's style and touch.

When you watch a movie from this guy, you not expect a cood acting, good quality or "big stars", like what another viewer seems to have been looking for, if you are like him I advise you to move on.

No, when you watch a film by the master, it's for the thrill, the low-key aspect and the found footage style and also that little something extra typical of Shiraishi's films that draws you into the story without you even realizing it.

Definitely worth seeing if you're already familiar with the Found Footage genre and Shiraishi's films.

Worst Movie

I don't recommend anyone to watching this movie. Because this movie is very poor quality of the story.

It's one of the worst movies I've ever watch. The stars are not good at acting and they are very stiff. In terms of taking it is also not interesting to see.

It may be better to do casting with a quality agency to get a star who can play the role naturally.

Using big stars is very important to make these movies worth watching because usually they will bring a lively atmosphere in a movie with new stars. And try not to use the initial idea of a film with a similar title.

That's my review of this film hopefully it can be useful for the next filming.

Koji Shiraishi strikes again

Senritsu Kaiki Kowasugi File 01: Operation Capture the Slit-Mouthed Woman (2012)

Phew, what a mouthful of a title. 😅

This is another one of found footage enthusiast Koji Shiraishi's more-than-creepy mockumentaries. It met my expectations (which were reasonably high!) and even exceeded them a bit.

It's very similar to Noroi in style, well-made and pretty interesting all along. Even if Shiraishi doesn't have a big budget for his features, he still makes them work fine in that low-key atmospheric way. This first film in the series revolves around the Kuchisake-onna phenomenon and fleshes it out a bit, just enough for you to remain intrigued but never over-explaining its subject. It's also got some real creepy moments throughout.

I'm definitely continuing with the series and really looking forward to it after such a strong start.
