    Free Time on Their Hands

When the Air Force pulls the plug on the project Howard, Leonard, and Sheldon were working on. This episode follows the characters as they deal with the implications of that action. We also have Raj looking for a place to live and Amy gettin a major opportunity and Sheldon's reaction to it.

Show is getting old and tired

If you read the caption for this episode, you probably don't need to watch it. If you're a fan of the show, you could write this yourself. The whole series is showing its age. Characters are flat and stale, some are more annoying than ever. Sheldon, for being so smart, doesn't learn much. Leonard stutters and stammers his way through each scene. The ladies manage to keep it fresh, although Penny seems to flounder. I hope this is the last season. It's sad to see a once fresh idea go stale.

    NO CLUE WHATSOEVER

Unfortunately, the writers of this show decided to do absolutely no research on how the Air Force, or any other part of the U. S. government works with contractors; nor does it seem that they cared at all.

Having been enlisted in the Army, a career officer in the Air Force, a government contractor, and an Air Force civilian, I was intimately involved in the contractor process.

All contractors, especially classified contractors, are with the project, any project, through all phases, conception, inception, production, support, and closure.

Nobody steals anything, because everything is a part of the contract, agreed to and signed, sealed and delivered, from start to finish.

The writers obviously have zero respect for the military. I find that ridiculous and pathetic.

    • Trivia
Apartment 3A (the apartment below Leonard's) is shown to be empty. This implies that Mrs. Gunderson, who appeared in The Lunar Excitation (2010), no longer lives there.
    • Goofs
Even if Sheldon worked on a different use for the technology developed by Howard, Leonard and himself, as patent owners, Leonard and Howard would still be paid royalties.

And if the government declared the technology classified, they would have to compensate all the copyright owners. This is part of the right to property in the US Constitution.

Sheldon Cooper: Princeton. A fine institution. It's where Einstein taught. It's also where Leonard got his PhD, so it may have gone downhill since then.
