The main character Nicole Barrow is supposed to be a professor at Russell Sage College. The film was shot on the real Russell Sage College campus in Troy, NY for all campus scenes.
Fun fact: the song over the final scene of the movie, 'To See Your Smile', was written and performed by lead actress, Hannah Barefoot, along with her husband, Andy Barefoot. It was released under their band name, The Luminous Grey, and is available on iTunes and Amazon Music.
