Faith in man

I am a devoted fan of the cinema of the 1960s and 70s. For some it's movie, for others it's films, and for others it's cinematography. To each his own, as they say. In my opinion, cinematography has been going away since the 80s. But sometimes good cinema still appears. For those who liked this film, I would also recommend (also Italian) "Notizie degli scavi" by Emidio Greco (2010). "Forgive us our debts" is not a cheerful film, but not hopeless: humane without sentimentality, but sad without excessive despondency. A good film. In the end, the story of a person's life is always interesting. Especially life in extreme circumstances (which we can also get into). The main thing is to remain human, although sometimes it is not easy. And not to lose hope.

Delicious

What a terrific little jewel, gem I discovered yesterday on Netflix. A movie which we could not see on big screen, or very rarely. This topic reminds me 99 HOMES, although not entirely the same, but very very close. A debt collectors tale, very bitter, sometimes cynical and depressing, although with a bit of black humour, as the italian movie industry provided us several decades ago...

A little Italian gem

There are so many things to enjoy about this film; it's firm grasp of the logic of its implacable narrative, it's highly credible characters, the beautifully staged mis-en-scene, the sense of being given a genuine insight into a little known segment of Italian society, te delicious range of music, sometimes reminiscent of the most compelling Italian films of the sixties... I could go on, but judge for yourself...Go on, give yourself a melancholy treat!

Forgiving(?)

Debt collectors are not really people who one would think of having many friends. And it's obvious why that is. So why would someone want to become one? I guess that person has to be desperate. So we dig in and go into the world of humiliation and you could almost say extortion. Now it's not exactly that, because the people did borrow money.

So it's not really black and white here. There is a lot of grey areas and you may feel torn. Feeling some things to be deserved and others to be over the top. One thing is for sure, the movie does a great job showing this as raw and uncompromising as possible. Which makes this a really good movie overall, if you are into that kind of thing

Great actors and big screenplay

Ok ok you are used to big rythm and spectaclar effect, but forget everything and let's enjoy the real life with real sensation and the plot of the life with not coupè de theatre. But I bid that this movie looked in the right way it will hit your hearth. big movie
