This article contains spoilers for "Severance" season 2 episode 9, "The After Hours."
Life isn't easy for anyone associated with Lumon Industries, and this applies triple if they happen to be working on the company's infamous and controversial Severed Floor. The poor innies and their truckloads of existential crises are just one part of the whole story, too -- even if you're an unsevered worker with a cozy managerial position, things are liable to get tricky.
Interestingly, a pattern seems to emerge among the Kier faithful who have been tasked with supervising the Severed Floor during the show's two seasons. The seething, hostile Ms. Cobel (Patricia Arquette) and the calm, collected Mr. Milchick (Tramell Tillman) couldn't be more different from each other. With the introduction of the latter's Deputy Manager replacement Miss Huang (Sarah Bock), however, "Severance" season 2 shows a certain, deeply worrying trend in Lumon's recruitment policies. In fact, episode 9, "The After Hours,...

During Severance season 2, episode 9, Milchick (Tramell Tillman) told Huang (Bock) that she'd successfully finished her Wintertide Fellowship as the severed floor's deputy manager. She is given a bust of Jame Eagan's head and told she'll be going to the Gunnel Eagan Empathy Center for her next role. She's forced to smash her Kier ring-catching game before boading a bus later in the episode.
Speaking with Vanity Fair, Bock explained the multifaceted reasons Milchick may have had for ending her fellowship early in Severance season 2, episode 9. The latest episode of Severance season two, titled "Sweet Vitriol," has been met with mixed reactions from fans. Some have criticized its slower pace compared to previous episodes and wondered why we needed an entire episode following Harmony Cobel (Patricia Arquette). Especially after the incredible episode before it, "Chikhai Bardo," which gave us a detailed backstory on Mark and Gemma's relationship, what's happening to Gemma now, and ended with Mark waking up from "journeying" after flooding his severance chip. So much is happening in the world of Severance right now between Mark's integration, Gemma's testing, and Helena spying on the innies. Many fans are confused as to why the showrunners decided to air a Harmony-centered episode now.
It's true that "Sweet Vitriol" lacked the same fast-paced, dialogue-heavy, visually arresting tone and environment we are used to. It's also shorter than the other episodes at only 37 minutes. However, this episode...

Do not drive over to the factory to meet an old chum if you haven't seen "Sweet Vitriol," the eighth episode of season 2 of "Severance." This is your final spoiler warning!
This article also contains discussions of addiction and child abuse.
After living without Patricia Arquette's steely Harmony Cobel for a few episodes of "Severance," we finally catch up with the former head of Lumon's severed floor while she's driving around in her Volkswagen White Rabbit to parts unknown. At the beginning of her standalone episode "Sweet Vitriol," we see Harmony arrive in the run-down town of Salt's Neck, and when she meets up with an old friend, who we eventually learn is named Hampton (played by James Le Gros). Hampton runs a small dining spot called The Drippy Pot, and while he serves coffee to an elderly patron, he also slips him a bottle; shortly before that, we...

This article contains Major Spoilers for Severance Season 2, Episode 6, "Attila".
Severance Season 2, Episode 6 hinted at Burt's deeper ties to the Eagans. Christopher Walken sparked new fan theories by teasing his character's storyline outside Lumon.
Christopher Walken didn't expect Burt's story arc in Severance Season 1. Episode 9 caught up with Burt after his retirement; the scene played out from Irving's perspective, however, after Dylan hacked the Overtime Contingency Protocol. Irving's innie was heartbroken to discover Burt's outie has a husband. Walken confirmed Burt's outie felt like a new character. "You'd see the house he lived in, who he lived with, the way he dressed, the way he was a little bit different as an Outie than he was at Lumon," he told IndieWire. "When I saw the house he lived in, I was surprised. I thought Burt wouldn't live in a house like this. And then I thought, 'Well, yes, he would.

‘Wintertide’ Ending Explained & Movie Summary: How Did Beth Return The Strays To Their Normal State?
John Barnard’s 2023 film Wintertide isn’t just about the mindless zombies that go around town chasing and killing people; rather, it takes a detour from all the gory elements to focus on the toll an epidemic takes on the mental health of those enveloped in it. The film isn’t just about survival but about the transformations and changes that take place inside everyone’s mind.
Wintertide is set in Canada, wherein most of the population has turned into zombies, called Strays, because of depression caused by the lack of sunlight. Also, these Strays caused electrical disturbances whenever they were in the area. To counter the spread of the epidemic, the government passed around some pills and syrups to fight off the symptoms. Wintertide revolves around one specific person caught in the crosshairs of this zombie apocalypse: Beth.

"Do you think it's possible for the things we do in our dreams to change our lives while we're awake?" I'd say no, but that's just my guess? Gravitas has revealed an official US trailer for an indie horror thriller from Canada titled Wintertide, directed by John Barnard. This premiered at various festivals throughout 2023, including at the Brussels, Cinequest, Sci-Fi London, Palm Beach, and Dances With Films Festivals. Set in an isolated northern city battling a plague of depression that mutates it's victims into zombie-like automatons, a woman discovers the key to immunity lies within her dreams. Beth is a volunteer watchperson in this city fighting a plague of depression that transforms the few remaining residents. Will her own dreams be enough to sustain her? Niamh Carolan stars as Beth, along with Solange Sookram, Jeremy Walmsley, Jesse Nobess, Colleen Furlan, Darcy Fehr, John B. Lowe, and Onalee Ames. I dig the dark,...
