The Single Worst Film I Have Ever Seen.

The effects are atrocious, the writing is stiff, unfunny and uninteresting, and I'm happy only knowing that it will never leave our local area.

Roy Kirkland has never made a good movie

I just watched the trailer for Roy Kirkland's "Rekindling" and it looked so bad I had to come here and review another one of his atrocities; Spook Bridge.

I'm really not sure how you can be so out of touch that something like this looks like a "good" finished project. This would be good for some high school seniors with windows movie maker and an iPhone 5. Not a 60-year-old man who thinks he is one movie away from his "big break". It's sad, honestly.

This, and pretty much every movie he's ever made, aren't even "so bad they're good". In fact, they are so bad there's 0 entertainment value in them whatsoever. You will either fall asleep watching them or cringe so violently you have to walk out of the room. The only way you could possibly enjoy this movie is if someone you love dearly is in it, or you're smoking heavy narcotics, which I believe to be the case for all of the good reviews here.

There isn't even one thing to really point to here, either. There's not one single "if he fixed this, it would be better". The camerawork is bad. The editing is bad. The CGI is terrible. The lighting is bad. The audio is bad. The acting is bad. The script is bad. The directing is BAD. This movie has no redeemable qualities! Seriously, stop making movies like this. They're a waste of time, resources and precious hard drive space.

I would be embarrassed to be involved with a movie like this in any fashion. It's a good thing people in South Georgia are very easily impressed.

Atrocious

I had the misfortune of seeing this back when it "released". It was atrocious then. I came across the "very professional" dvd at a friend's house so I decided to give it another watch. It was even worse. And to make matters worse, the lame edge lord ending with a baby being barbecued isn't a good ending. It's just gross and unearned. The best thing I can say is this movie has pretty much disappeared into obscurity. If only RKDS and everyone involved could do the same that would be great.

The movie is poorly made, the acting is terrible, the story is awful, I don't think there is a positive thing I can say about this bane to cinema.

Very good locally produce in Valdosta, Ga.

I saw the movie two nights and I really enjoyed it! If you saw it and was expecting a Hollywood A list movie then maybe you would not like what you saw but even the A list movies don't please everyone. All I'm saying is considering the budget it was produced on and the talent that was cast I would challenge anyone to produce a picture this good especially the in house special effects! Since this has been shown only locally, at this writing, I know that some of the bad review's it has received is the small town jealousy that goes with seeing a hometown son doing something successful.I do know making a film is a labor of many years and few ever get this far! In fact so many B list movies have become box office hits, they are really the backbone of this industry. So before we throw this movie under the bus think about what this studio is trying to do by bringing a part of this multi billion dollar industry to this area!

A Great Debut Film For Actors DeFrank, Lane, Youmans, Pitts, Dale, & Denson

I absolutely loved the cast in this! Quitman produced many of the talent, but some of them are definitely not native and have quite the potential. The film itself had a few errors in terms of camera angles, but overall the film's quality was unique, prestigious, and excellent.

For those reading this, here's actors you need to keep your eye on: Domenick DeFrank, Chandler Lane, John Youmans, Megan Pitts, Dennis Dale, and Aaron Denson. This power cast is really what made this film such eye-candy. I won't be surprised if some of these people become superstars.

Keep your eyes on Lane's role in "Octagon" and DeFrank's role in "Fraternity Uprising".

Amazing!

I have to say I'm surprised.

RKDS has come a LONG way for creating such an incredible film. From beginning to finish, I was astonished. The cast and crew have outdone themselves.

From cameos (The Oh ROY! Show) to amazing actors (Domenick DeFrank, Chandler Lane, Megan Pitts, and John Youmans), the film was absolutely beautiful.

The film is aimed for National release. And I think it'll make it.

SPOOK BRIDGE" is a horror film that follows a Reporter, Clyde Adams, a man in search of the cause of the recent mysterious deaths of teenagers on Spook Bridge.

I had the privilege not only seeing the movie Spook Bridge during its local premiere, but also the privilege of being in the film. Therefore, my comments on the film could be construed to be a little bias. However, on a review, let the chips fall where they may. While watching the film, I saw an occasional extra time spent on a scene or two that could have been edited to make the scene a little more concise. But then I would like to ask anyone to tell me that they have never seen, even in the biggest budget films with the best directors, a little wasted time. I thought the special effect were also very good. The Director and the Director of Cinematography utilized the time spent with actors during film wisely. I admire the energy Kirkland and Sebastian spent to edit and promote a really good film. The people of Brooks County and the City of Quitman should be proud to have been a part of Spook Bridge. I saw one review that stated that the film made all the people in the area appear to be red necks and various other descriptive names that I won't repeat. However, a film is a fiction unless otherwise indicated as a true story. Therefore, since when did we start stereotyping people, if we do, we shouldn't, as portrayed in the film as indicative of the actual people in the area where a film was shot? I stated to friends after the premier that Spook Bridge is as good as or better than a lot of films I have watched on Netflix and other venues that include many early film makers such as Roy Kirkland and Doug Sebastian. I still stand by that comment and when you get to see it, you will say the same.

Impressive and original

I went to the Friday night showing. A little disappointed that I couldn't find a better seat. I showed up after the guy was talking on stage. The auditorium was packed. I found out the place seated 1200 people. Damn. As soon as the trailers were over (finally...) the movie started. Right off I realized the quality of the film was much better than I figured. Something else shocked me as well. The movie kept my interest. The special effects were surprisingly good. I noticed the audience reactions how they screamed a the scary moments and laughed at the funny moments. I can go on but I have to admit, I went to see this movie skeptical and full of doubt. I left surprised and pleased. I was impressed by the fact that the story was very interesting and the quality of the film and acting was really good. This is my personal take. It seems some are writing to discredit the film in some way. I disagree with their comments. I probably wouldn't have rated this a 10 but after reading some of the comments I thought this film wasn't as bad as what they wrote. So there. 10 it is. Good luck with the film.
