Could have been a funny story -

  • But the actors (everyone) are allowed to over indulge in their characters persona which quickly becomes an annoying bore. Plus with an intelligent editor this story would have had a greater entertainment value if it were only 45 to 60 minutes long instead of the current 1 hr & 30 mins.

Funny idea for a movie but it failed in trying to tell the story.

It's Too Bad

This is obviously written for a gay audience, but lacks anything in it that would be appealing to gay people. The theme is not interesting and has been overdone. The actors are OK, but you need leading men who are handsome in any movie, gay or straight, and the claustrophobic confines of the motel where most of the "action" takes places feels cloistered and smarmy.

It doesn't come together anywhere. Why greenlight a project you know is not going to work?

Chris Modrzynski

Chris Modrzynski has to be the most irritating actor in the world. I hope I never see another movie he is in. End of story!

Pleasant Indie Comedy

This low budget indie reminded me of LOVERS AND OTHER STRANGERS and other minor 70s comedies with ensemble casts that are largely forgotten today. There's no star power, but several of the supporting actors do a good job - Scott Rubin (who also wrote and co-directed, Mel Gorham, Josie Di Vincenzo, and John Patrick Patti - and show real comic skills. The central concept is funny, but a little patience and forgiveness may be required to see it through. Not an ideal. Not an ideal vacation like THE WHITE LOTUS, but worth the trip in my opinion: a diamond in the rough. Support indie film! Apparently my review is "too short," and I have to keep writing so I haven't wasted my time. Another film this reminds me of is NEXT STOP, GREENWICH VILLAGE. Remember that one?

Gay scewball comedy.....

I thought this would be such a low budget bore, but I found myself laughing almost nonstop. The pace and jokes were very fast, akin to old Hollywood screwball comedies. The actors were able to keep the energy high throughout, even though there were few rest stops. If it had been a higher budget production, it probably would have been better, but I thought the script was funny, lightening fast and the actors pulled it off. No self-respecting gay couple would have ever accepted staying at a dive motel with a view of industrial smokestacks belching soot, sulphur and smog, as a suitable place to tie the knot. Funny concept....loved it!!!
