Watched to the end, but it was not worth it. Main idea and scrip are OK. But people actions are unrealistic. Sometimes almost unemotional. Sometimes badly played. Children look like decoration, no lines.
This was an interesting idea - a small German unit cut off in Ukraine, and find a village of Russian Germans. Mostly women.
How relations start off OK, but then go horribly wrong.
The Germans I found very realistic. The women also, mostly.
The children look much too prosperous for wartime Ukraine.
Incidentally, the 'cast' are obviously from a completely different film with the same name. Needs fixing.

It looks like there has been an error in the listing and the German language film Behind Enemy Lines on Amazon is actually called Hear the Silence (2016). These reviews are for that Film, not this one and it's a pretty decent movie. Someone has taken the cover picture and mistakenly put it on this American film.
This is more a psychological thriller than a war movie, but is entertaining and suspenseful. The acting is excellent, as is the pacing - at no point does the storyline begin to sag.
