"Sombra" is about three women sitting on a rocky beach at the bottom of a cliff. One of them goes swimming in the water and the other two sit and relax. They talk and drink wine. What they talk about isn't very interesting. It's bland and ordinary. Eventually, the woman who went swimming comes out of the water and joins them. They just listen to the radio. Well, that's boring. The film is particularly frustrating when the characters don't talk to each other. There's no good drama until the surprising ending, which I won't spoil.
Although "Sombra" is mostly dull, it's not poorly acted. The three actresses give good performances. The cinematography is also good, but the story, dialogue, and characters are largely uninteresting. I did like the ending. It honestly makes me wonder if the rest of the film was intentionally made to be boring and then you have to think about the ending, which, again, I won't spoil. I dunno. Well, I still didn't enjoy the film, but at least it's not terrible. So yeah, I can't recommend "Sombra".
