In the end credits, director Drake Doremus dedicates the movie to Anton Yelchin who passed away in 2016 and co-starred in his movie À la folie (2011).
In the bar when Martin (Nicholas Hoult) and Gabi (Laia Costa) first meet and they are discussing the dating app, Martin says, "I mean, to be honest I feel like eighty percent of the time i feel like a.... like a dildo attached to a warm body." This is a reference to the 2013 film Warm Bodies, in which Nicholas Hoult starred.
Gabi (Laia Costa) has a conversation on the phone with her dad in Catalan language.
This movie features four actors that played in Marvel movies. Pom Klementief played Mantis in Guardians of the galaxy vol.2. Danny Houston played Col. Stryker in the Wolverine movies. Jessica Henwick played Colleen Wing in the Marvel/Netflix tv shows Iron Fist and the Defenders. Nicholas Hoult played Hank McCoy in the X-Men reboot movies.
Towards the end of the movie, during the party at Danny Huston's character's house, he mentions a friend who came up with the plot for Wonder Woman (2017). Danny Huston stars in Wonder Woman as the villain Ludendorff.
