Taking Rocky Balboa’s story to a completely different level, Ryan Coogler turned the legendary boxer into Adonis Creed’s mentor. The Creed film series is the first spin-off of Rocky, and let’s just say that it successfully revitalized the franchise for a new generation. Now, Michael B. Jordan will soon be returning to play the titular character, but the question is, will his Creed III co-star be joining him?

There was a time when Netflix itself would have been considered sci-fi. High-definition movies on demand in your living room, for a monthly fee, sometimes day and date with theatrical releases? Yeah, not a thing until pretty recently, which might make you wonder how many of the sci-fi features actually on Netflix are in danger of coming true eventually.

Actor Michael B. Jordan, in a new video, breaks down some of his most iconic film characters, and, of course, that included his turn as Adonis, the son of Apollo Creed (the late Carl Weathers), in the Creedtrilogy. In the GQ sit-down posted to YouTube, Jordan talks about why a fourth Creed movie hasn’t hit the big screen.
So far, there are three Creed movies, beginning with Creed in 2015, followed by Creed II in 2018, and Creed III in 2023. “Yeah, the fourth one, eventually, not sure when, but we left the door open to build on that franchise,” Jordan said about a followup to Creed III.
“My thing is like, I don’t wanna make a movie just to make it, give it a little time to breathe, make people want it, miss it a little bit. And when the time is right, I’ll drop in and do another one,...

Michael B. Jordan has offered an update on the development of the next installment in the Rocky spin-off Creed franchise, revealing that Creed 4 is happening...but it could be a while. Jordan first led the Creed spin-off back in 2015, introducing audiences to Adonis "Donnie" Creed, an aspiring boxer and the son of the late, great Carl Weathers’ world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed. Turning to Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa for guidance, the Creed franchise has now carved out its own legacy as a sports drama classic.
Now, speaking with GQ, Michael B. Jordan has revealed that he is now thinking about the direction of Creed 4, with the actor, who will also return to direct after making his filmmaking debut with 2023’s Creed 3, determined to get the sequel right.

'That's My Boy': Michael B. Jordan Says He's Proud of Jonathan Majors, Open to Another Collaboration
Michael B. Jordan is willing and ready to share the screen with his Creed III co-star Jonathan Majors again. More than a year after Majors was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Jordan has opened up about the odds for a potential on-screen reunion between the two.
Speaking with GQ, Jordan noted that Majors' trial was a "tough situation" to watch unfold at the time. In December 2023, a six-person jury found Majors guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault, while he was acquitted on two other counts: intentional assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree. The actor was sentenced in April 2024 to one year of domestic violence counseling.

One of the executive producers behind Netflix's Luke Cage breaks down the broad strokes for the series' tragically canceled third season.
In a January 25 X post, Luke Cage executive producer and Creed II scribe Cheo Hodari Coker responded to a fan post lauding the series' storytelling. "Glad y'all are finally discovering it," Coker wrote. "And what we had planned for Season 3 was even better... all Public Enemy song titles as the thematics, starting with 'Public Enemy #1' and ending with 'Rebel Without a Pause." When asked how far in the development process the third season got before the series was shelved, Coker responded, "Six episodes written, 8 outlined, 13 projected...and nope, I ain't saying sh*t."

Exclusive: John Ridley, the Oscar winner behind 12 Years a Slave, is developing a feature take on Isaac Asimov’s 1954 sci-fi novel The Caves of Steel for 20th Century Studios, Deadline can reveal.
Ridley plans to direct Caves of Steel, having written the most recent draft of the script with Cheo Hodari Coker, the multi-hyphenate best known for creating Marvel’s recent Luke Cage series.
A landmark work of science fiction, which is the first in Asimov’s Robot series, The Caves of Steel introduces readers to a future Earth where humanity has retreated into vast, domed cities — known as the “Caves of Steel” — to escape the harshness of the outside world. The story follows Elijah Baley, a New York City detective who is reluctantly partnered with R. Daneel Olivaw, a humanoid robot, to solve the high-profile murder of a “Spacer” scientist. As Baley navigates the investigation, tensions arise between Earth’s overcrowded, robot-wary society and the more advanced Spacer civilizations, which embrace robotic integration.
Previously, BBC adapted the novel for television, with radio and game adaptations also emerging. Sources said Ridley’s film may also take inspiration from The Caves of Steel‘s sequels, The Naked Sun and The Robots of Dawn.
For Asimov, the Robot series captured a longtime interest in artificial intelligence, which produced his influential “Three Laws of Robotics.” Introduced in his 1942 short story “Runaround,” these laws have become a framework for discussing AI ethics and the challenges of programming intelligent systems to interact safely and effectively with humans.
Asimov’s “Three Laws” are discussed in I, Robot, the 2004 film starring Will Smith, which took inspiration (and its name) from the Russian-born author’s collection of short stories, published in 1950. One of the most prolific and influential writers in the history of science fiction, Asimov is also well known for his Foundation series, exploring the rise and fall of civilizations across a galactic empire, which inspired the Apple series, heading into its third season. Notably, he also co-wrote 1992’s The Positronic Man, which was adapted into the 1999 film Bicentennial Man starring Robin Williams.
Ridley won an Oscar for writing Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave, earning three Emmy nominations for his work on American Crime, the anthology he created for ABC. Most recently, he wrote, directed, and produced Shirley, a biopic of the United States’ first Black congresswoman, Shirley Chisholm, for Netflix, which starred Academy Award winner Regina King. As a director, his other credits include series like Five Days at Memorial, Godfather of Harlem, Guerrilla and Let It Fall: Los Angeles 1982-1992, as well as 2013’s Jimi: All Is by My Side. Ridley is also known for his work with DC Comics including “The Other History of the DC Universe,” “Gcpd: The Blue Wall,” and the recently released “Justice League: The Atom Project #1.”
Most recently writing on and co-producing Paris Barclay’s doc Billy Preston: That’s the Way God Planned It on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee of the same name, Coker has also worked on films like Notorious and Creed II, along with Southland, Ray Donovan and other series.
Ridley is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Rohner Walerstein; Coker by CAA and Literate Management/Production.

Sylvester Stallone has enjoyed a lengthy career in Hollywood with numerous hit films that earned hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office. Stallone got his start in Hollywood at the end of the 1960s, but it was a difficult journey to progress beyond uncredited roles and minor TV appearances until he landed a leading role. In fact, his big break was largely a self-made role, because it came with his own script for a dramatic sports movie titled Rocky.
Today, Rocky is one of the most famous sports movies of all time, with a decades-long franchise and spin-offs that all developed from that original movie. But none of that would have been possible if it wasn't for the enormous and overwhelming success of Rocky that launched Stallone from obscurity to one of the biggest earners in Hollywood. Even though the first Creed movie was a massive success, writer and director Ryan Coogler did not return to direct Creed II. The Rocky franchise began in 1976 with Sylvester Stallone playing the titular boxer. Throughout the 70s and 80s, Rocky became one of the most popular movie franchises in the world. Stallone returned to the role for 2006's Rocky Balboa, but this film acted as Rocky's swan song as a boxer. Therefore, after 2006, it was unclear if there was ever going to be another movie in the series.

NBC's Grimm, one of the most underrated dark fantasy shows of the past decade, has now hit streaming. Featuring a likable cast that went on to become familiar faces, Grimm followed a supernatural hunter who battled classic fantasy creatures. A forgotten gem from the 2010s, Grimm was a rare instance when the modernization of classic fairy and folk tales worked as a procedural. It's not perfect by any means, especially in the show's latter seasons, but there is enough to keep fantasy lovers invested from start to finish.

Michael B. Jordan honored a Rocky franchise tradition with Creed III, which he plans to continue with the upcoming Creed 4. Ever since Rocky Balboa, one of the most iconic characters in movie history, was introduced to audiences in 1976, there have been nine movies in the Rocky/Creed franchise. The six Rocky movies follow the life of boxer Rocky Balboa, who was portrayed by Sylvester Stallone. However, after a miraculous return in 2006's Rocky Balboa, it was clear that the actor could no longer believably play an active boxer.

The confirmed Creed 4 may be the fourth film in the Creed series and the tenth movie in the Rocky franchise, but its story can prove that the long-running boxing franchise is far from over. Sylvester Stallone starred in and wrote the first Rocky movie, which was released in 1976. After the first Rocky movie was both a commercial and critical success, and even won Best Picture at the Academy Awards, a sequel was greenlit. Almost 50 years later, the Rocky franchise is still going strong, and Creed 4 will be the next film in the boxing series.
The Rocky series has had many ups and downs over the years, but a major high point for the franchise was when the first Creed movie was released in 2015. Creed follows Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Creed, the son of legendary boxer Apollo Creed from the original films, who sought out the training of Rocky Balboa.

Moana 2 “stood apart from the crowd” for the second weekend in a row, as the Disney sequel reigned over the box office with an estimated $52 million domestically (per The Numbers). Auliʻi Cravalho and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s reunion as the beloved Moana and Maui dropped a drastic 63% between its first and second weekends, but still managed to claim the No. 1 spot. And in just 12 days of release, Moana 2 eclipsed the $600-million mark worldwide.
At the time of this writing, Moana 2 has brought in just over $300 million domestically, while making another $300 million overseas. And that total of $600 million helped the animated adventure pass Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire ($571.8 million) to crack 2024’s highest-grossing films globally after less than two weeks in cinemas. Check out the updated Top 5 below (via Box Office Mojo):

If you're a fan of Michael Bay's Transformers series of films, be warned—most of his entries in the series will be leaving Netflix by the end of the month, on Dec. 31. The streaming service has been home to Michael Bay's Transformers Saga for a while, which makes this a disappointing loss for those subscribed. While most of the films in the series haven't been the most well-received, they are still considered entertaining popcorn flicks, especially by those who have a deep affection for Transformers as a whole outside of Bay's films.
The original 2007 film that started it all might be the most significant loss out of the whole series of films that are leaving, as it is not only the film that started it all, but is often considered the best in the series. Starring a young Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox, Transformers (2007) set the precedent for how...

Disney’s animated adventure “Moana 2” remained the de facto choice at the movies, collecting a leading $52 million from 4,200 North American theaters in its second weekend of release.
Ticket sales for the family friendly sequel declined by 63% from its record-breaking Thanksgiving debut of $139 million over the traditional frame and $225 million during the five-day holiday stretch. According to Disney, “Moana 2” secured the biggest post-Thanksgiving weekend, overtaking the benchmark set by “Frozen II” with $35.2 million. However, the second “Frozen” opened prior to Thanksgiving and had been in theaters for three weekends at that point.
“Moana 2” has been a huge boon for movie theater owners considering the Polynesian-set sequel was originally commissioned as a TV series. So far, the second “Moana” has grossed $300 million domestically and $600 million globally. Any minute now, it’ll overtake the lifetime gross of its predecessor, 2016’s “Moana,” with $643 million worldwide. Though the original film performed solidly at the box office,...

Moana 2 didn’t waste any time asserting its dominance at the box office, as the animated sequel brought in an impressive first-week total of $248 million domestically (per Box Office Mojo). The highly anticipated follow-up to Disney’s Moana (2016) is also spearheading a record-breaking, post-Thanksgiving weekend combined with all the other film titles, which are led by Moana 2, Wicked, and Gladiator II.
If the estimates come to fruition, Moana 2 ($50 million), Wicked ($33 million), and Gladiator II ($13 million) will finish one, two, and three respectively in the box office’s Top 5. Additionally, all the films over the weekend are predicted to bring in a total of $129 million (per Deadline), which surpasses the post-Thanksgiving weekend record of $119.7 million set six years ago when Ralph Breaks the Internet ($25.6 million), The Grinch ($17.9 million), Creed II ($16.6 million), and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald ($11.4 million) all basked in their lucrative numbers.

The fight between Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) and Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) in Rocky IV is one of the franchise's best, but it somehow got even better 39 years after the movie's premiere. Apollo Creed's fight with Ivan Drago is one of the best scenes of Rocky IV, and one of the best fights in the entire trilogy. It's packed with emotional moments, unexpected twists, and the jaw-dropping death of Creed. It's quite nearly a perfect fight in terms of its actual action and its narrative impact, but it somehow got even better decades later.
The Rocky franchise experienced a rebirth with 2015's Creed, and Michael B. Jordan's time at the helm of the series has retroactively made a lot of Sylvester Stallone's films even better. From Adonis himself to Dolph Lundgren's cameo in Creed II, the newer films have done a lot to enhance the originals. Interestingly, Rocky IV...

Dolph Lundgren and Carl Weathers were initially adversaries both on and off-camera in Rocky IV. In a recent interview, Lundgren explained why he felt Weathers was always sore about their characters' fight in the 1985 sports movie.
Speaking with Screen Rant during a Fan Expo panel, Lundgren shared how he didn't get to spend much time with Weathers before they were thrown into the ring together to shoot the fight between Ivan Drago and Apollo Creed. "Well, I didn't know Carl [before Rocky IV]. I knew Stallone because we boxed and trained together for six months, and he was my boss. We were in the ring six days a week, so you push each other around, you're sparring, and you get to know each other. But Carl, I didn't know," he explained. "When I first met him, we were shooting the fight of Apollo versus Drago in Las Vegas, and Carl showed up two days before.

Rocky IV star Dolph Lundgren reveals the on-set tension between him and co-star Carl Weathers. Having played Apollo Creed in the first three Rocky films, Weathers was no stranger to the hugely successful sports movie franchise when he returned for a fourth go-around. Rocky IV would indeed prove to be Weathers’ last Rocky franchise appearance as Creed (outside of flashbacks), as the character famously died in the ring while fighting the Russian behemoth Ivan Drago, played by newcomer Lundgren.
But Lundgren didn’t only feel tension with Weathers as a result of their playing adversaries, he also felt it off-camera due to unfamiliarity, as he revealed exclusively to Screen Rant during a Fan Expo panel. Lundgren recalls being comfortable with Rocky actor Sylvester Stallone after sparring with him for weeks:

Rocky did not appear at all in Creed III, but that's still better than what Expend4bles did with Sylvester Stallone's character. Rocky and The Expendables are two of the biggest franchises of Sylvester Stallone's career. However, they came at extremely different points in his career. The first Rocky movie was released when Stallone was largely unknown, and ended up turning him into a star. Meanwhile, Stallone led The Expendables movies when he was already a veteran Hollywood actor.
However, years after the Rocky franchise concluded, it was rebooted with 2015's Creed, which featured Rocky Balboa as a mentor figure and coach for his old friend Apollo Creed's son. Compared to The Expendables movies, all three Creed films have received exceptional reviews, and critics have praised Stallone's heartwarming performance as Rocky. While it is unlikely that Stallone will return to either franchise, the Creed movies handled his exit much better...

A trio of blockbusters — “Moana 2,” “Wicked” and “Gladiator II” — are fueling a record-breaking Thanksgiving bounty.
Overall domestic box office receipts between Wednesday and Sunday amounted to $420 million, the biggest Thanksgiving haul in history. It obliterated the previous benchmark of $315 million, set by 2018’s slate of “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” and “Creed II.” Since the pandemic, though, Turkey Day has been all famine and no feast at the box office. The holiday hasn’t topped $200 million since 2019 and plummeted in 2023 to a record low of just $125 million across all films, including Disney’s “Wish,” “Hunger Games” prequel “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” and Ridley Scott’s historical drama “Napoleon.”
Box office experts believe the rebound in attendance is thanks to effective counterprogramming — and notably of movies that audiences actually wanted to watch in theaters. “Moana 2” brought out families in droves while “Wicked...

Updated: Movie theaters finally have something for which to be thankful.
Disney’s “Moana 2” cemented a new Thanksgiving box office record with $225 million over the five-day holiday frame, obliterating the previous high-water marks set by 2019’s “Frozen II” ($125 million) and 2013’s “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” ($109 million). It also stands as the biggest five-day debut in history, overtaking Universal’s 2023 behemoth “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” ($205.6 million). The film’s three-day tally of $139.7 million registers as the best start for Walt Disney Animation ahead of “Frozen II” ($130.2 million the weekend prior to Thanksgiving). Ticket sales for the “Moana” sequel were higher than Sunday’s estimates of $135.5 million over the traditional weekend $221 million over the five-days and far above early projections of $135 million to $145 million.
“‘Moana 2’ has far surpassed our high expectations this weekend and is a testament to the phenomenon that ‘Moana’ has become,” Disney Entertainment co-chairman Alan Bergman said in a statement.

“Moana 2” is expected to make waves at the box office over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
The sequel to Disney’s musical hit “Moana” opens in 4,200 North American theaters on Wednesday and is projected to collect between $135 million to $145 million in its first five days of release. Those ticket sales would register as the biggest Thanksgiving frame, overtaking 2019’s Disney sequel “Frozen II” ($125 million over the five days) and 2013’s “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” ($109 million over the five days).
“Moana” will also swim to screens at the international box office, where it’s pacing to add an additional $100 million and would bring the global tally to $235 million. Based on presales and buzz, the animated adventure is primed to be another 2024 theatrical smash for Disney following the mega successes of June’s “Inside Out 2” ($1.6 billion) and July’s “Deadpool & Wolverine” ($1.3 billion). On Friday night, amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, hosted its first-ever gala in Las Vegas — with the hopes that in the city where winning big is the goal, the nonprofit would hit the jackpot in fundraising for AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education and advocacy.
Held during Formula 1 race weekend in the garden of the Wynn Las Vegas, the night was made possible by Paramount Global, Roberto Cavalli, 101 Studios, the Wynn Las Vegas, Sazerac and Rm Sotheby’s. AmfAR raised over $3 million at the event, and the foundation will receive close to $11 million from Rm Sotheby’s in a live auction of rare luxury cars. Sylvester Stallone and wife Jennifer were the evening’s big honorees, receiving amfAR’s Award of Inspiration.
Jay Leno kept his hosting duties after news broke that he fell down a large hill over the weekend, leaving him with an eye patch and a large bruise.

When it came time to choose a name for our first child, my husband and I had a list of one.
A couple of years before her birth, we’d been on an especially good date to see an Agnès Varda film in repertory; the protagonist’s style, wit and ultimate resilience appealed to us as much as Varda’s own story as a pathbreaking woman in the French New Wave did. We’d seen Varda’s documentary “Faces Places” at New York’s Quad Cinema just a week prior to seeing “Cléo From 5 to 7” at the Alamo Drafthouse in Brooklyn, and, especially in the spring of 2020, the double bill sat lodged in our minds. The Creed movie franchise injected new life into the connected cinematic universe that began with Rocky in 1976, and with star Michael B. Jordan set to return for Creed 4, the new franchise has an opportunity to execute something that the Rocky franchise never did well. As early as the beginning of Creed III, Adonis had entered the sunset period of his career as a multi-time world champion. While the threequel saw him return to fighting shape in order to reclaim the title from his old friend-turned-rival, Damian Anderson, Adonis had all but retired from the sport.
The Rocky franchise never progressed Balboa quite so neatly, as he was still the reigning champion at the beginning of Rocky IV. That gives the Creed franchise an opportunity to explore ground previously untouched by any of the Rocky movies. While Adonis may no longer be the focus of the franchise from an in-ring perspective,...

With “Moana 2,” “Wicked,” and “Gladiator II” on the lineup, this Thanksgiving holiday is shaping up to be a record-breaking one for the box office, with domestic revenue expected to soar past $300 million over the five-day period.
“Gladiator II,” “Wicked,” and “Moana 2” are set to bring something for everyone to theaters this Thanksgiving, according to one studio exec. “When there’s a great variety, the business thrives.” These three films are expected to fuel the biggest Thanksgiving box office ever, providing a bright spot in a year slowed by labor strikes and delays from the pandemic.
Thanksgiving 2018 holds the current record for the five-day period, bringing in $315.6 million thanks to hits like “Ralph Breaks the Internet” and “Creed II.” This year, experts believe that the record will fall.
“Moana 2,” set to release Wednesday, Nov. 27, is projected to earn between $125 million and $150 million in its first five days, possibly even more.

As Ridley Scott and his high-profile Gladiator II cast — including Denzel Washington, Paul Mescal and Connie Nielsen — walked the red carpet during the Nov. 18 Los Angeles premiere, a makeshift wall prevented them from seeing an enormous Christmas tree perched at the entrance of the Ovation Hollywood mall adjacent to the Tcl Chinese Theatre.
Consider it a symbol of Christmas coming early this year for all of Hollywood as November tentpoles Gladiator II, the musical Wicked and the animated juggernaut Moana 2 hit the big screen timed to Turkey Day. “For the first time in a long time, there will be something for everyone at movie theaters this Thanksgiving,” notes one top studio executive. “When there are great choices, the business hums.”
By all accounts, the three films are expected to fuel the biggest Thanksgiving weekend in history in terms of overall revenue, a rare bright spot in the post-pandemic era.

To paraphrase Wesley Snipes as Blade in this summer’s blockbuster “Deadpool & Wolverine”: There’s only one “Barbenheimer.” There’s only ever gonna be one “Barbenheimer.”
Hollywood might never replicate the je ne sais quoi that prompted the explosion of “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” double features, turning the box office battle between two very different films into a once-in-a-generation cinematic event. But multiplex owners are hoping that “Wicked” and “Gladiator II” achieve something close as the pink-and-green musical and the Colosseum-set action epic land in theaters on Nov. 22.
“It won’t happen in the same way, but the conversation around ‘Wicked’ and ‘Gladiator’ is reminiscent of ‘Barbenheimer,’” says Shawn Robbins, Fandango’s director of movie analytics. “They’re fueling each other.”
Whether or not “Glicked” is the second coming of “Barbenheimer,” there’s mounting pressure on Thanksgiving movies — Disney’s “Moana 2” swims to the big screen on Nov.

Now that Sylvester Stallone has exited Cliffhanger 2, there's only one franchise left for him to return to. Before the 1980s, sequels and franchises were quite rare. Even when they did happen, they were generally lower-budget than the original, and studios considered themselves lucky to gross around 60% of what the first entry made. Sylvester Stallone was one of the first actors to see the value in building brands for himself, starting with Rocky II in 1979. The star hadn't intended to make a Rocky movie series, but it quickly became a reliable saga for him to return to.
Other Sylvester Stallone movie franchises include The Expendables and Escape Plan, and for a time, it appeared Cliffhanger would join that list. The star was attached to the upcoming Cliffhanger 2, reprising his role as Gabe Walker. Instead, Variety has confirmed the project is being overhauled, and will instead be a soft reboot fronted by Lily James and Pierce Brosnan.

This Halloween, The Haunting of Hollywood, the debut feature from director Lilia Doytchinova, will premiere exclusively on Amazon. Set in the shadow of the iconic Hollywood sign, the film is a chilling exploration of ambition, mental illness, and the dark side of fame. In addition to the digital release, a special theatrical screening will take place in Los Angeles on October 31st at the Wilshire Screening Room, followed by a Q&a with the cast and crew.
The Haunting of Hollywood follows James, an aspiring director haunted by the tragic death of his mother, whose unfulfilled dreams and struggles with mental illness mirrored the city’s darker, seductive pull. His journey through Hollywood’s cutthroat world is not just a quest for success but a confrontation with the past, as the ghosts of his mother’s obsession with fame begin to intertwine with his own life. Creed IV is currently in development, and the narrative will need to take a major turn if the franchise is to avoid one of the major problems that plagued the Rocky franchise. After six movies starring Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa, the franchise veered in a new direction with the Creed movies starring Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Creed, the son of Rocky's longtime friend and rival Apollo Creed. With Creed IV now confirmed, the discussion now turns to how to progress Adonis Creed's story.
Critics and fans alike have praised the Creed series for its engaging stories and incredible performances, and while it shares some familiar notes with the Rocky franchise, it has largely followed its own path. After two movies following Adonis' rise to the top of boxing, Michael B. Jordan made his directorial debut with the celebrated sequel Creed III, advancing Adonis Creed's career forward several years.

Director Ryan Coogler and actor Michael B. Jordan have cemented themselves as a powerful Hollywood pair across their joint projects. As they re-unite for their upcoming fifth movie together, titled Sinners, they have both taken a moment to reflect on their storied careers. Sinners takes their creative partnership in a new direction. Coogler and Jordan are best known for working together on Creed and Black Panther, but they have yet to properly explore the horror genre, either in their own careers, or as creative partners. Sinners finally changes that, and marks a milestone moment in their joint careers.
The pair took to X to share a behind-the-scenes look at Sinners, a new vampiric horror movie, and joked about their time working together. With the caption "Five projects, one legendary duo," Coogler and Jordan appeared together in the video to count how many movies they've worked on together, before joking about their increasing age.

Creed is an outstanding boxing movie, yet I hold it in even higher regard due to how it improved one of my favorite Rocky movies: Rocky IV. When Creed was announced, I was as skeptical as many others were. Given the mix of good and bad Rocky movies over the years, yet another franchise reboot did not overly excite audiences. This can partly be attributed to the Hollywood landscape upon Creed's release, when legacy movie sequels were commonplace, from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Jurassic World to Mad Max: Fury Road.
However, I have never been more pleased to be proven wrong about this seemingly unnecessary movie sequel. Creed instantly became one of my favorite movies in the entire franchise, not only for how it stood on its own but also for how it elevated the Rocky movies that came before it. While it remains to be seen...

Akira Toriyama is considered a legend not only in Japan but also all over the world. Dragon Ball is one of the most popular franchises to exist, and from kids to adults, everyone has fantasized about having Goku’s powers. It wasn’t long before the franchise became a widespread phenomenon in the West.
Numerous mangakas and manga franchises have been inspired by Akira Toriyama’s talent as well as Dragon Ball‘s plot. Listing these inspired series will create a huge list, as even major mangakas are in awe of the legend. However, there are two movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe that show elements inspired by Dragon Ball.

Creed’s Michael B Jordan will direct and star in a remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, and here are the details.
Since his star making performance in Ryan Coogler’s 2013 drama Fruitvale Station, Michael B. Jordan has taken on an eclectic range of films. He’s gone from starring opposite Chadwick Boseman in Marvel’s Black Panther to headlining Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky sequel Creed trilogy, making his directorial debut with 2023’s Creed 3. A fourth Creed film is reportedly in development.
According to Deadline, Jordan has closed a deal with Amazon MGM Studios and Outlier Society to direct and star in a remake of classic thriller The Thomas Crown Affair – this would be the third take on the material, with the first emerging in 1968.
Drew Pearce has written the remake’s script, rewriting a previous draft by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson, which is based on the original film.
