Daywalker: Blade Origins

If you're not aware, the motivation for this film is to create a film for fans by fans. The people who made this film really love Blade and wanted to do justice to the character, so I decided to judge the film through that lens.

And through that lens I really enjoyed the film. It started a bit slow, but knowing it was an origin story I knew what I was getting into. It "feels" like an 80's action movie, which I think is appropriate for the time-line. The emotional scenes are intense, setting the tone (I hope) for future films, and the combat looks rough but reminiscent of Wesley snipes.

I believe that this is with purpose because as an origin story we're going to see him start from here (the beginning) and presumably grow towards what we've seen in the movies.

Check it out if you like action movies, action vampire movies, or comic book movies, I think its worth getting into it at this early stage and seeing them flesh out the series.
