Lawman

Based on True Events. 1875, Indian Territory. Bass Reeves, the first African-American deputy arrests an outlaw and brings him toward encampment. A battle of wills arises between them as the outlaw tries to escape.

The key here is "based on." What you will see in this series is not true to what happened.

I really wanted to love this series because I'm a fan of the producer. Unfortunately, it falls flat on several levels.

Starts off strong but around episode 3 it gets slower than molasses. And there are the endless additional characters that become confusing and the backstories that are just as confusing.

From that point on the series sort of loses its way. Yes, there is a scene here and there that are good, but over ll the series is a disappointment.
