I watched this and now I'm doing the slav squat to pay homoge to harambe.
Monky (2017) made me laugh, cry, scream, holler and hoot. This movie touched my soul like no other, it reached deep down inside of me and filled me with joy. If I could rate this movie higher, I would. This should be shown to all film makers so that they can tap into the pure majesty of Monky (2017). This movie is not only the most entertaining film I have even seen, it is also intellectual. It is simple in it's execution, but complex in it's implications. In a way, I feel that we are all Monky from Monky (2017), and that we all have something to learn from this movie. Monky (2017) is a beautiful work of art, and my only complaint about this masterpiece is that I did not discover it sooner. Monky (2017) has changed my life forever.
This is a great film so worth being watched. However, the poster doesn't do the film justice. It suggests it's a funny film and it isn't. It's about sadness, sorrow, grief and everything I between for a family.

Perfect family movie if you want a break from the predictable storylines of Pixar / Disney etc.
Watched this with our 5 and 8 yr old. It was a very nice family moment. The movie made us laugh out loud and reflect on how special it is that we're all together. We loved it and I 'secretly' cried.
Because the movie starts with a scene describing how snowflakes are all different, my woke alert went off but luckily my fear was unfounded.
The theme of dealing with a loss in the family is brought very delicate and tasteful. The monkey cgi was surprisingly good and was never annoying.
The overall atmosphere, locations and set dressing are outstanding. The actors are dubbed but I forgot that quickly. So, don't hesitate if you're in for an inspiring, funny, feel good movie to watch with your kids.
