Bollywood Film Characters Who Deserved Better Endings: From Aman In Kal Ho Naa Ho To Rani In Queen
Image
Bollywood Film Characters who deserved Better Endings(Photo Credit –YouTube)

Some Bollywood characters meet tragic or unsatisfactory fates, leaving fans wishing for a different conclusion. Here are ten Bollywood film characters who deserved better endings.

1. Vijay From Deewar (1975)

Vijay, portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan, is a quintessential anti-hero in this classic Bollywood film. His journey from a wronged son to a powerful underworld figure is compelling, but his tragic death in the end leaves a sense of melancholy. Vijay’s sacrifice for his brother Ravi (Shashi Kapoor) is noble, but many fans believe that his character deserved redemption and a chance at a peaceful life.

(Photo Credit –YouTube) 2. Aman From Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003)

Shah Rukh Khan’s portrayal of Aman in Kal Ho Naa Ho is heartwarming and tragic. Aman’s selfless love for Naina (Preity Zinta) and his decision to hide his terminal illness make his death all the more poignant.

Subhash K Jha revisits Bhavesh Joshi SuperheroBhavesh Joshi holds a unique position.

Harshvardhan Kapoor, who made little headway in his career in spite of an author-backed role, doesn’t play the title role in Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. Anyone could. This is a film about pricking awake the conscience , so well written, and so successful in downplaying the image of the typical hero. Anyone could be that prick. On the other hand no one really bothers. Why should they when all you get for trying to change the status quo is a death in the gutter? What makes this film an important testament on the need to make your voice of protest is the language used to convey that urgent need to raise one’s voice.

Though wrongly marketed as a superhero film, Bhavesh Joshi actually tells us why the cult of superheroism needs to be urgently replaced by a more...

Chicago Radio to Ketan Mehta, ties that bind Sara Ali Khan’s ‘Ae Watan…’ character
Image
Sara Ali Khan will be seen shortly in the upcoming Amazon Prime Video presentation, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, which is based on the life of the young Gandhian, Usha Mehta, and her Congress Radio, which became the voice of the 1942 Quit India Movement.

Mehta was an ordinary young woman with extraordinary resilience, but she may never have been known, had her voice not benefited from the amplification provided by equipment supplied by Nanik Motwane.

He was the Bombay industrialist who ensured, literally, that Mahatma Gandhi got heard by the masses by providing the Congress with mics for its sessions and rallies. In fact, Motwane’s Chicago Radio branding appears on mics in all pictures of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and other Congress leaders photographed during some of the iconic moments of the freedom struggle.

Motwane, who was moved by the sight of the Mahatma going from one group of people...

Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, Martial Arts Action From India's Phantom Films
Director Vikramaditya Motwane is one of Hindi cinema's brightest talents who has had critics in the palm of his hand over the last several years with films like Udaan, Lootera, and Trapped. Motwane returns with an unexpected project in Bhavesh Joshi Superhero this May. It's a bit of a surprise from Motwane, whose previous films have leaned more toward the dramatic side of the cinematic spectrum, however, his last film, Trapped, was more of a fantastical take on Cast Away in an abandoned skyscraper and was a hit at several genre film festivals last year. In Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, Motwane goes full-tilt as an action director with relative newcomer Harshvardhan Kapoor in the title role as a vigilante superhero in a very conspicuous Led lit...

Behind The Scenes with Preetisheel Singh on how she designed the looks for Padmavati
National award-winning make-up and prosthetics artiste Preetisheel Singh, who is working on Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s looks in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited period drama Padmavati, says she is trying to do something different with the looks in the film.

“Padmavati is set during the 12th century, and we don’t have paintings from that era from where we can take references,” she said in an interview to Scroll.in. So Preetisheel has gone ahead and photoshoped ideas before putting them into practice. She says, though it is an imaginative and time-consuming process, it’s not very difficult for her as she always tries to make the actor don a look that he or she hasn’t had before.

Now anyone who knows even a little bit about Preetisheel would agree to that. After all, she has made a lot of heads turn with her work...

Harshvardhan Kapoor lashes out: Is Diljit Dosanjh a debutante?
The Mirzya actor lashed out at the Filmfare jury over the award given to Diljit Dosanjh for the best debutante male. The newcomer while applauding sister Sonam Kapoor’s work and her Filmfare win, expressed his displeasure on losing the award for his role. In an interview, Harshvardhan said,"Although I picked up two debutante awards earlier, I was really looking forward to winning the black lady. But I guess every awards event has its own parameters. I'll be honest, though. I think a debutante award is meant for someone working on his first film. It shouldn't go to an actor who has worked in several films in another industry or language." Diljit who is also a singer, has worked previously in the Punjabi film industry and made his Bollywood debut with Udta Punjab where he played the role of a police officer. Diljit hasn’t responded to the comments yet.
