Safehaven

In July 2024, the producer David Ozer had pled guilty to accusations of defrauding an investor in the show out of $214,486 and siphoning funds from Safehaven's budget to pay his personal expenses. The schedule originally called for 70 days of shooting, but had to be reduced to 65 days, cutting the runtime of several of the episodes below 40 minutes, posing a risk that the show could not be distributed. The production company Ravenwood settled the lawsuit against all parties except Ozer, which allowed it to take full control of Safehaven so that post-production could be completed and the show could be sold to a distributor.
