Sorry, Graboid fans, but if you've been waiting to see Tremors 6 next year, the wait just got quite a bit longer. The Tremors movie was originally scheduled to arrive on January 30, 2018, but franchise star Michael Gross has revealed that Tremors 6 has officially been pushed back to summer 2018. Though, the exact date, or reason for the change, has not yet been revealed. Here's what he had to say about it.
"This next Tremors film is scheduled to arrive in May, 2018."
Michael Gross made the reveal while replying to a fan on his personal Facebook page who had asked about the release date for Tremors 6. Michael Gross regularly provides updates on the movie, via his Facebook page, and he recently revealed that he was recording some dialogue for the movie. In the comments section, it was revealed that we now have to wait another four months for some new Tremors action.

Burt Gummer is coming back… a bit later than we expected. While Syfy is hard at work casting their “Tremors” TV series (starring Kevin Bacon!), let’s not forget that a sixth installment in the film franchise is also in the works. Filming wrapped earlier this year on director Don Michael Paul’s tentatively titled Tremors 6, […]...

Start looking for higher ground, because the pilot episode for the potential new Tremors series is digging closer to the surface. Following the announcement in June that Syfy had ordered a pilot episode of a new Tremors series from Universal Cable Productions and Blumhouse Television, it's now been revealed that Vincenzo Natali is lined up to direct.
Deadline reports the news about Natali's involvement, revealing that the filmmaker behind Cube, Splice, and Haunter has been "tapped to direct" the Tremors pilot episode starring Kevin Bacon, who will reprise his role as handyman-turned-hero Valentine “Val” McKee.
In addition to feature films, Natali has an impressive list of TV directorial credits to his name, having worked behind the camera on Darknet, Hemlock Grove, The Returned, Hannibal, Wayward Pines, Westworld, The Strain, and American Gods.
Natali will work from a script written by showrunner Andrew Miller, who starred as Kazan in Natali's first feature film,...

Clear your calendars, lovers of monsters and B-movies, because Tremors 6 is on the way. And now we know when you will be able to see it. Just don't expect to be seeing it in a theater near you, as it will likely be direct-to-video, but still. Thanks to franchise star Michael Gross, it has been confirmed that Tremors 6 will rear its head from the sand, and maybe even the ice this time around, in January 2018.
Michael Gross, who (usually) plays Burt Gummer in the Tremors franchise, took to Facebook to announced that Universal has settled on a release date for Tremors 6. The movie is now set to arrive on January 30, 2018. That will put it right in the heart of a pretty slow time during the year in terms of movie releases, so that could pay off. But the movie won't really be relying on box office since...

Who would've thought that the Tremors movie franchise would last this long? Franchise star Michael Gross has enjoyed being part of the franchise all these years as Burt Gummer, and last year he announced that Tremors 6 was going to happen. Well, we have news that the film will start shooting next week. The news comes from Gross himself on Facebook, and he confirms that Jamie Kennedy will join him again as their characters travel to South Africa to battle those crazy deadly worm creatures.
The first film in the franchise with Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward is my favorite, but I've enjoyed all of the sequels that have followed it no matter how ridiculous they are. So, it's cool that there's another chapter coming, but what I'm most excited for is the TV series that's being developed with Bacon reprising his role of Valentine McKee.

It isn't at all uncommon for sci-fi or horror franchises to get a few low-budget sequels that many people don't even realize were released in the first place. That has been the case with the Tremors franchise for about two decades now and a trend that is going to be continuing with yet another movie in the series. Did you even know there was a Tremors 5? Well there was, and apparently it did well enough for Universal to move ahead with Tremors 6.
Actor Michael Gross, who has fully embraced the franchise and has appeared in all of the sequels, as well as the 2003 Tremors TV series, recently made the announcement that Tremors 6 has been given the green light. The 69-year-old actor took to his Facebook page in order to make the announcement to his fans and he seemed pretty enthusiastic about it. Here is what he had to say.

The 1990 cult classic monster movie Tremors has spawned four sequels (with another on the way) but are they any good?
This article contains spoilers for the assorted Tremors movies.
You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who hates Tremors. In fact, while I was watching these sequels I ran a quick poll online asking people to choose their favourite 90s monster movie and Tremors won in an absolute landslide – leaving even the much-beloved Gremlins 2 in the dust.
The original cost a rather humble $11 million to make and made $5 million profit at the box office. Not a huge amount, but its subsequent popularity on home release and TV means that, 26 years later, we’ve just received word that a sixth instalment has gone into production. It seems the Tremors love is still very much alive and kicking (or should that be ‘squirming’?).
Kevin Bacon – who has at...

Evidently, it’s impossible to keep a cult classic sci-fi/horror franchise down for long, as the seemingly unstoppable Tremors series is coming back for a sixth installment. Series star Michael Gross—who has actually been in all of the movies, unlike Kevin “One-And-Done” Bacon—announced the news himself on Facebook a week ago, but it was just now picked up by the official Tremors page. Gross’ post specifically says that he “can’t divulge too many secrets,” but we do know that Tremors 6 will be directed by Tremors 5’s Don Michael Paul and it’ll feature Jamie Kennedy reprising his role as Travis Welker, the long-lost son of Gross’ Burt Gummer.
