The movie was based on a dream one of the directors had involving a young boy sitting in a run down mid-western hotel bathroom analyzing a futuristic weapon. This scene was later incorporated into the film.

Goofs
Shoot out at the police station shows Eli walking through a lot of debris which includes many unfired cartridges with bullets still intact.

Crazy credits
Michael B. Jordan's executive producer credit doesn't appear until the end of the film, presumably to keep the surprise of his cameo in the movie's climax.

A Good Movie with Great Potential

This Movie is really interesting and the story unfolds throughout. The ending is fantastic and everything a sci-fi fan would hope for. I just wish the rest of the movie was like that. The main character is complex and conflicted about his actions. I think this movie should have been rated R if they were going to have a "Girls Girls Girls" scene. Other than that, I like the cameo at the end and the cast is on point. This movie could be even better, but with what we have it is enjoyable and different from anything else out there.
