This film tells the story of a colonist who arrives on a seemingly deserted planet, but soon encounters a robot (which looks like a walking cash-register) who offers to provide the colonist with goods. However, the colonist has a contract with the company who sent him, so he's soon entangled in a complex bureaucratic argument about what goods he can and cannot receive.

Addressing a common theme in later Soviet cinema (foolish bureaucracy), this short animation does a fair job. The pace is frenetic, driven by frequent jump cuts. The visual style is bold and eccentric, somewhat reminiscent of the sci-fi animation of Rene Laloux from the same era. At only 10 minutes, this one is fun and funny. Worth a look.
