The Fantastic Four: First Steps Officially Releases ESPN Promos - Is A New Trailer Arriving Imminently?
Image
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is up next for Marvel Studios, and new TV spots for the movie have been airing during the 2025 NBA Playoffs.

They caution fans to stay tuned to the Western Conference Finals, and with the Thunder set to battle the Timberwolves tonight at 8.30pm Et, it's likely another promo will air during the game. There's also a chance that it confirms plans for a new trailer set to air during the Finals on June 5.

We could get that tonight, of course, but chances are it's saved for early next month, seeing as The Fantastic Four: First Steps doesn't arrive in theaters until late July. That game will also be a much bigger ratings draw.

In the officially released promos below, we see more of Marvel's First Family, with the spotlight primarily on Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, and the Human Torch...likely because animating The Thing...

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige also confirmed that Downey's Doctor Doom will fight the original X-Men, the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and more superhero teams. While Loki is not currently a member of any of those teams, he should play a vital role in the events of Avengers: Doomsday, with Doctor Doom after him.

I Thought Predator Can’t Even Kill Wolverine Until It Kills All Marvel Heroes Including Iron Man and The Fantastic Four
Image
When Marvel first threw the Predator into the same universe as its iconic heroes, fans figured the alien hunter might bag a few street-level vigilantes before getting shredded by someone like Wolverine.

But no one was ready for this. Forget one-on-one showdowns this time, the Predator isn’t here to spar. It’s here to exterminate. In Predator Kills the Marvel Universe, the galaxy’s deadliest hunter takes on the impossible and makes it terrifyingly real, leaving a blood-soaked trail through Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, from Spider-Man to the Sorcerer Supreme. And yes, even the invincible Iron Man and Marvel’s First Family fall. This isn’t just a crossover, it’s a massacre.

The Predator is set to kill the entire Marvel Universe!

After famously taking on Wolverine, the Predator is here, and now it’s not just about one mutant, one city, or one kingdom; it’s the...

The new trailer for Fantastic Four: First Stepscontains a brief Easter egg that fans of The Last of Us might have caught.

Watch the trailer for the second (and final) season of The Sandman
Image
The Sandman is an epic comic book about Dream (Tom Sturridge), one of several eternal beings who together preside over different aspects of the human condition. The comic was written by Neil Gaiman, who has been accused of sexual assault. That scandal may have something to do with why Netflix is only producing one more season of the show, even though the comic runs for 10 volumes. Netflix just dropped a teaser trailer for the second and final season, which is coming out in July:

Specifically, the first six episodes will drop on July 3 while the final five will follow on July 24. The teaser trailer shows a scene from the fourth volume of the series, Season of Mists, where Dream and the rest of the Endless siblings meet for the first time in centuries. I imagine they'll cut and condense a lot of the story to reach a conclusion. There are...

Flying cars, robots, Jetsons spage-age retro-futurism vibes? Yep, “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” which introduces Marvel’s first family into the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time ever, is set in an alternate universe where the 1960s is something out of “The Jetsons.” So yeah, there’s no Spider-Man, Captain America, or Avengers in this universe, but as we know, “Avengers: Doomsday” is coming, and by the end of the movie, the new Fantastic Four team will be in the MCU proper.

Matthew Wood, Pedro Pascal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Vanessa Kirby, and Joseph Quinn in Les Quatre Fantastiques (2025)
It goes without saying that The Fantastic Four: First Steps is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The film is the third big-budget attempt to bring Marvel's First Family to the silver screen, but the first to do it set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so audiences are ready for this monumental moment to take place.

The film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm / The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm / The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / The Thing as the titular foursome, who will go up against one of their many archenemies from the comics, Galactus (played by Ralph Ineson).

Now, Marvel Studios has unveiled the second trailer for the film, which looks nothing short of, well, fantastic.

‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ makes waves online after CinemaCon presentation

Marvel celebrated April 4 by releasing some new information about The Fantastic Four: First Steps online, including a comparison to Stanley Kubrick.

“I really wanted to go with as grounded a version of space as possible,” director Matt Shakman told Empire in a new story about the project published Friday. “So, no wormholes. Their tech is very much retro-future, but it's also booster rockets. It’s a combination of Marvel and Apollo 11.”

He added, “I really wanted it to feel like it was made in 1965, the way Stanley Kubrick would have made it. Within reason.”

Coldplay Featured on New Version of League of Legends ‘Arcane’ Song “Ma Meilleure Ennemie” (Exclusive)
Image
Coldplay have jumped on for a new version of Stromae and Pomme’s fan-favorite Arcane song “Ma Meilleure Ennemie,” the most notable add-in for an extended version of the show’s season two soundtrack that was released Friday through Riot Games and Virgin Music Group.

The feature adds to an already star-studded soundtrack for the second season of Netflix’s animated show inspired by the popular video game League of Legends, with Twenty One Pilots, Stray Kids, King Princess and D4vd, among others, contributing as well. But “Ma Meilleure Ennemie,” French for My Best Enemy, became one of season two’s biggest songs, with 335 million Spotify streams to date.

That’s second only to Jid and Imagine Dragons’ quadruple-platinum hit “Enemy,” the show’s theme and the lead single to Arcane‘s season one soundtrack. Riot Games said the season two soundtrack has amassed over 1.5 billion streams overall since it was released last November.

Next James Bond Movie Will Be Overseen By Veteran Harry Potter And Spider-man Producers
Image
There's been chatter about this on social media for a few days now, but Amazon MGM Studios has just confirmed (via ActioNewz.com) that veteran producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman will oversee the next James Bond movie.

Pascal will produce the film via Pascal Pictures, and Heyman will produce via Heyday Films. It's unclear whether they'll also take charge of what's expected to be a slate of big and small screen projects revolving around 007. Either way, the next James Bond movie is now in their hands after spending decades under the control of Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.

After clashing with Amazon over the iconic spy's future, they finally relinquished creative control in a deal believed to be worth as much as $1 billion.

"We are approaching every creative decision with James Bond, which Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have so masterfully steered, with the greatest sense of responsibility,...

The Fantastic Four: First Steps - What The Leaked Concept Art Tells Us About Their Role In Avengers: Doomsday
Image
Yesterday, concept art from several past and upcoming MCU projects leaked online. Among them was The Fantastic Four: First Steps and, while there wasn't anything too revealing - it looks like Shalla-Bal will be bald rather than rocking silver hair - there are some big hints about what the future holds in store for Marvel's First Family.

It's now been confirmed that the upcoming reboot will feature an infant Franklin Richards, the son of Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman.

The comics have established him as a powerful reality warper and one of the strongest beings in the universe, even at a young age. He used his God-like abilities to help restore the Multiverse following its collapse due to the incursion crisis, so you can probably figure out how the boy will be key to Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

In fact, concept art for the next Avengers movies...

Nicolas Cage is preparing to make a sinister splash with his latest psychological thriller The Surfer, which is crashing into theaters on May 2, 2025. Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions released the first trailer and poster for the "sun-beaten terror" (seen below), showing that it's not just the weather bringing the heat in this sizzling new feature, as Cage plays a father who gets embroiled in a turf war on the beach. According to the movie's official synopsis, the conflict quickly reaches a boiling point.

"A man returns to the idyllic beach of his childhood to surf with his son. But his desire to hit the waves is thwarted by a group of locals whose mantra is 'don't live here, don't surf here.' 15 Most Useful Harry Potter Charms in the Franchise
Image
Magic in Harry Potter isn't only limited to wands, although spells and enchantments do form the bulk of the Hogwarts syllabus. Also known as enchantments, charms are distinct from other varieties of spells in that they alter the physicochemical properties of their target. The outcome can be negative, positive, or even neutral, depending on the caster's intent and the chosen charm. More importantly, it was stated that the effects of a charm had generally longer durations than other spells.

Those proficient in this branch of magic are often exceptional duelists, as Professor Flitwick proved during the Battle of Hogwarts and his youth as a dueling champion, highlighting the potential that charms are capable of. However, the most useful charms in Harry Potter are those that help ease the minor burdens of daily life. These lead to better cleaning methods, quicker modes of transportation, and many other domestic benefits.

Marvel Rivals Clearly Gave The Thing a Clear Advantage over the Rest of Fantastic Four That Will Affect Pick Rate
Image
With Marvel Rivals‘ mid-season update just around the corner, NetEase is about to complete Marvel’s First Family by adding The Thing and Human Torch to their roster. While both heroes are generating plenty of buzz with their impressive ability kits, it’s their debut skins that have really got people talking.

When it comes to alternate costumes, the Fantastic Four have always had some interesting choices in the comics. From Reed Richards’ villainous alter ego to Sue Storm’s darker persona, there’s no shortage of dramatic transformations. But here’s the thing (pun absolutely intended): sometimes the simplest approach works best.

And that’s exactly what NetEase seems to have figured out, though perhaps not in the way you might expect. While three members of the Fantastic Four are getting edgy makeovers that would make even Doctor Doom raise an eyebrow,...

Before 'Fantastic Four: First Steps' and 'WandaVision,' the Director Made His Debut With This Twisty Billy Bob Thornton Neo-Western
Image
There aren’t many films in 2025 that have been saddled with expectations as immense as The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which finally introduces Marvel's “First Family” into the MCU. It is certainly an uphill battle; not only have there been previous failed attempts to bring the Fantastic Fourfranchise to life, but the decline in the quality of recent MCU projects has put even more pressure on The Fantastic Four: First Steps to be a breakout hit. Director Matt Shakman is no stranger to making inventive projects set within the MCU, as he was one of the key architects behind WandaVision, which is largely regarded to be one of the better Disney+ shows. However, Shakman proved he was capable of making a great film with the neo-Western Cut Bank, an underrated gem from A24 that starred Liam Hemsworthand Billy Bob Thornton.

‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Trailer: Pedro Pascal Makes His Marvel Cinematic Universe Debut
Image
As the Marvel Cinematic Universe struggles to re-establish its cultural gravitas in the aftermath of massive films like “Avengers: Endgame” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” few titles on its upcoming slate are as anticipated as “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” In addition to adapting what’s arguably the most beloved Stan Lee and Jack Kirby property not yet seen in Disney’s MCU, Matt Shakman’s upcoming film also boasts a white-hot cast featuring Pedro Pascal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Vanessa Kirby, and Joseph Quinn.

“‘Fantastic Four’ is the foundation for everything that came after in the comics,” Kevin Feige said in a 2023 interview Entertainment Weekly announcing the project. “There’s certainly been versions of it [onscreen], but never inhabiting the storytelling of the MCU. I Can't Believe I Only Just Realized Marvel Confirmed A Red Hulk Power From The Comics Will Appear In Captain America: Brave New World
Image
One of the things I am most excited to see in Captain America: Brave New World has to be the Red Hulk, and after rewatching the trailer once again, I noticed something essential about this version of the character. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has never given enough attention to the Hulk, ever since the 2008 movie ended up being largely ignored after replacing Edward Norton with Mark Ruffalo. But, the Multiverse Saga has finally been paying more attention to the Hulk, and the characters that are typically involved with the hero in the comics.

From She-Hulk, to Skaar, and now The Leader and Red Hulk, the MCU is finally building the world around the Green Giant. And while he has yet to get a solo movie, there is still hope, especially with these peripheral characters becoming a larger part of the story. However, it wasn't clear how far the movies...

It's recently come to my attention that the Fantastic Four has a secret fifth superhero in its ranks. Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing have frequently operated alongside Spider-Man, even referring to him as part of their family on occasion, and I would argue that he's an honorary member of the team. Spider-Man's strong connection and history with the Fantastic Four proves that he is their fifth teammate.

The Fantastic Four are regarded as Marvel's First Family for good reason, due to their status as a family first and a team second. With that structure in mind, their roster is more exclusive than most, yet Spider-Man has operated with them enough times to warrant membership.

Roy Thomas and Jim Craig first portrayed Spider-Man as a Fantastic Four hero in 1976's What If? #1, as pictured above, and that hypothetical idea has since become a reality in more ways than one.

New Roadmap Shows The Future Of Ark: Survival Ascended
Image
Studio Wildcard has finally updated players on what to expect in the future for Ark: Survival Ascended. Ascended will reach its second anniversary in October 2025, and while it has been a rough road, it has largely accomplished its goal of being a technical upgrade for Survival Evolved. This has come with many other new features like premium mods, creature packs, and Dlc add-ons. Though some of these topics have been highly debated on their benefit to the franchise.

The prehistoric survival title recently released the beloved and content-rich Extinction Dlc, which provided the first glimpses of Ark's future. Initially, Ark 2 was to be released years ago, with numerous delays pushing it back to late 2024. However, there was no information about the game's release as this date quickly approached. Given that the end of the year has passed, a new roadmap has been shown, and no official new date has been set,...

Marvel Rivals Leaks Prove NetEase Wants To Bring Characters Missing From The MCU Into The Spotlight
Image
Thanks to its popularity that seems to continue growing, Marvel Rivals has been suffering from leaks that are revealing NetEase's plans potentially a year from now, if Season 1's length is anything to go by. Leaks have been a problem for Marvel Rivals even before the game came out, but after an incredibly successful launch and a seemingly constant increase in the player base, there doesn't seem to be any way to stop the constant stream of leaks. Characters from seasons far beyond the first are already common knowledge, and it is becoming a question of when, not who.

The who in question has always been incredibly interesting, since NetEase isn't always making the obvious picks for its golden goose. Despite the popularity of the Marvel IP and many of its characters, Marvel Rivals has a fair number of reasonably obscure characters in its roster. Of course, comic fans...

The MCU’s Recent Fantastic Four Reveal Has Finally Convinced Me It Will Nail The 1 Character I Was Most Worried About
Image
I have a lot of trepidation for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but after a recent reveal regarding one specific hero, I feel a lot more confident the movie will be a success. As a die-hard fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) who has been following the action from the beginning in 2008, I still get incredibly excited when a big new title is announced. The Avengers movies blew my mind, and when new superhero teams were announced, there was a lot of enthusiasm.

However, when it comes to The Fantastic Four, it feels like a much bigger undertaking for the MCU, especially when the franchise has been struggling to keep fans engaged. These heroes are literally the First Family when it comes to Marvel, and it's a team that has already been adapted multiple times to largely middling results. And some of that is down to the characters that form the team,...

“Multiverse of Madness Made Him Look Dumb”: Luffy vs Mr Fantastic Debate Is Silly, Fans Saying Reed Richards Doesn’t Stand a Chance Are Forgetting 1 Thing
Image
Marvel Rivals released just last month and took the gaming community by storm. Reed Richards, known more commonly as Mr Fantastic, is one of the characters you can play.

Gamers noticed a peculiar skill of Mr Fantastic that hasn’t been showcased often other than in the comics, causing people to compare him to Luffy. The move looks awfully like Gear 4: Bounce Man in One Piece, first shown in the Dressrosa Arc. Now fans are wondering who would win in a fight.

The most recent portrayal of Mr Fantastic on the big screen was in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, played by John Krasinski. The actor has always been a fan-favorite choice for the superhero, but the MCU film utilized him poorly.

The version of him depicted in the movie is rather stupid compared to...

What Marvel Rivals Season 1 Hero Designs Mean For Role Queue
Image
Marvel Rivals has just launched its first major content update with Season 1's release, and it could offer some meaningful insight as to how role queue would affect the game Season 1 sees the inclusion of new maps, characters, and balancing changes, with a primary focus on the beloved Fantastic Four family. Half of that family is already available, with Susan Storm and Reed Richards coming into Rivals within the strategist and duelist roles respectively. However, Mr. Fantastic, while being a duelist, seems to fulfill more of a diverse role, appearing to be the first hybrid hero in Marvel Rivals.

Hybrid heroes are a concept that Marvel Rivals can now point to as a measure of asymmetry among its relatively safe genre choices. Mr. Fantastic's inclusion not only anticipates further hero diversity but also re-frames the question of role queue. Initial discussions of role queue assumed a relatively static distinction between Rivals' three roles,...

HBO's Harry Potter TV Show Should Bring Back 2 Fantastic Beasts Actors For A Crucial Origin Story
Image
HBO's upcoming Harry Potter TV show has the opportunity to showcase an incredible backstory with the actors from the Fantastic Beasts franchise. While the Fantastic Beasts franchise started off strong, the movies ultimately plummeted in popularity, leaving the talented actors in limbo after creating a compelling Wizarding World. However, with the Harry Potter story being rebooted and told in a TV format with several seasons planned to capture the entire legacy of The Boy Who Lived, there are opportunities to right some wrongs.

While the movies, both in the original Harry Potter films and the Fantastic Beasts movies moved at pace through the characters' stories, and delivered incredible action, drama, and wonder, a TV show inherently has a lot more space to really explore a story from every direction. Whether that means taking more time to explore a single event, or delving into the history of the characters, the format...

MCU Better Let Ebon Moss-Bachrach Unleash The Thing’s Ultimate Form in Fantastic Four, It Makes The Hulk Look Like an Ant
Image
A lot of the MCU takes inspiration from the Ultimate Marvel line of comics, as is evident in characters like The Hulk, Iron Man, and Nick Fury. Given that the X-Men and the Fantastic Four will now be heading to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well, it stands to reason that they might emulate their Ultimate Marvel versions as well.

With the Fantastic Four making their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it stands to reason that they might, too, take some inspiration from their Ultimate Universe counterpart. While Reed Richards of the Ultimate Marvel continuity would end up becoming The Maker, Ben Grimm would get a much radder update which might be something Ebon Moss-Bachrach would be keen on exploring in the MCU.

Ben Grimm might be able to shift between his rock and human forms in the MCU Ebon Moss-Bachrach in The Bear...

Speculations have ranged from the character being Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man to Miles Teller’s version of Mister Fantastic. There is also a potent argument to be made for Ioan Gruffudd as another version of Mister Fantastic, perhaps the same one from Tim Story’s Fantastic Four duology. This could hint at the fact that The Council of Reeds will finally make its debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which could solve more than a few issues for the narrative.

The Flash vs Fantastic Four: How DC Uses Its Speedster to Tackle Marvel
Image
The Fantastic Four is widely considered to be the most iconic family unit in comics, but the Flash family just might give them a run for their money. The Flash is more similar to the Fantastic Four than one would assume, and over time, DC has used the Flash and his fellow speedsters to fill the same role that the Fantastic Four do in Marvel lore.

The Flash is already known to have the superpowers of the Fantastic Four, and the resemblance extends well past that surface level. Much like the heroes of the Fantastic Four, the Fastest Man Alive never runs alone as he embarks on family-first adventures across time and space. Anyone who loves the Fantastic Four would benefit from giving the Flash's comics a try, since they're far more alike than they are different.

The Flash Family Is DC's Answer to the Fantastic Four DC's Family of...
