Jesús, petit criminel (2016)
Based on true events, JESÚS follows eighteen-year-old Jesús, who is trapped in a dead-end cycle of drugs, sex, apathy, and an obsession with violence. Living in a small flat with his widower father, Hector, where the TV covers up their inability to communicate, is not helping matters. After his band loses a competition, he and his friends get drunk and head out, looking for a thrill. They finally find it in a cemetery: a young defenseless boy crosses their path, and violence ensues. Soon, the attack is national news, and the police are searching for those responsible. Desperate to avoid the authorities as well as his friends, Jesús has no choice but to turn to his father for help. But, when the flesh of your flesh is rotten, will you go to any extent to protect it, or will you cut it loose? If this event makes Jesús and Hector closer than ever, it will also tear them apart forever...

    Boring development...

I think the Chilean scriptwriters have good ideas but bad development of scripts, they do not know how to maintain a good plot, they do not know how to create good dialogues that make us stick to the screen, a clear example of that deficiency is this film.

    • Trivia
The sex scenes in this movie are totally real, there is no prosthesis. Director Fernando Guzzoni explained, "Regarding the decision to film and show, I also felt that the film could not be modest, I could not make a suggestive thing and stay halfway and try to appeal to a generation or to some characters in particular that have immoderate violence or sexuality and be conservative when it comes to filming it [...] That's why the first thing I did was to tell Nicolás (Durán), or Sebastián (Ayala), or Coni (Constanza Moreno) "there are sex scenes that I want to be explicit, I want to see genitalia". Sex is genital and I don't think there is anything dark or ominous in that, that is a cultural construct. I thought it was nice to show it, that was the decision. They are brave actors, generous people with me who understood that this was not an arbitrary decision or a whim. It was at the service of a search."
