This may be, without a doubt, the greatest season in the history of all of animation ever. If for some reason it isn't, then it's incredibly close to! I don't Even know where to begin with this, this season genuinely made me speechless, and I have never watched anything this chaotic in my entire life.
I've watched a lot of animation throughout my life, and animation has always remained close to my heart ever since the beginning. Things like Madoka Magica, Dragon Ball, or in the case of Rooster Teeth, even Red vs Blue have shaped the way I view not only animation, but story telling and character development in general.
And still, out of all those shows I mentioned (as well as many I still consider masterpieces), RWBY may just be the greatest show of all time. Yes. I mean it. This isn't exaggeration, or a phase, or new watched bias, no... it genuinely, to me, is the greatest anime ever! That's nowhere near an easy thing to achieve, let alone even be close to.
In my previous review on Volume 2, I said that the season was so good that I can't possibly imagine how it could get better... yet here we are! Out of every single show I have ever watched, no show has ever had a better season, set of characters, writing, and storytelling more than this one show!
If for some reason you have never ever watch RWBY in your life, or at least haven't made it to this season, I urge you to do so whenever possible. This one show (and season alone) has shaped that way I see everything about animation, and is too great for any words to ever possibly describe. You will regret missing on a single second of this season, this just shows how great animation can be!
But now, I'm up to Volume 4 of the series, and it has been a wild, incredibly chaotic journey. As far as I'm aware, RWBY Volume 4 is basically the equivalent to Season 9 of The Simpsons (strange comparison, but let me explain). It is massively divided by the fandom, either praised and agreed as one of, if not, the best seasons of the entire web series, or known as the "derailment" of the show, or as some may say, the "jump the shark" volume.
I have no idea what to expect from Volume 4, but nothing will stop me from watching and criticising it once I finish it. Hopefully it's either just as amazing as some make it out to be, or not as bad as most others claim.

RWBY Volume 3 was better than Volume 1 and 2, and of course better than Volume 4 (as I write this, Volume 5 hasn't been released yet) Characters are forced to take choices. They are making sacrifices. They are developing. In this volume we get to know better our villains, and they're awesome. Not only good villains, they're charismatic and well developed. Every character here has flaws. Every characters face problems, *even Ozpin*. Imagine it's an 8.5/10.
RWBY is absolutely amazing and we should all be happy that Monty Oum left us with such an inspiring masterpiece and it is the perfect mixture of anime and western animations. I have been a fan of it for about a year now and it is now one of my favourite shows, it has amazing fight scenes, great and realistic dialogue, amazing music (thanks Jeff Williams), and shows tremendous character growth and development. I don't want to get into details due to the endangerment of spoilers but give it a chance, watch a few episodes then start to form your opinion, let it take you on the adventure and you will be thankful, trust me. Overall I give it a 9.7/10.
A great volume with one hell of an ending,
The animation has improved over the first two volumes, as well as some impressive fight choreography. The writing really starts to get better from here.
While the first half starts off light-hearted, with good fights and some of the funniest and most quotable moments, The end of the first half is where everything changes. The second half gets darker from here on out. Great moments, Shocking scenes, plot twists, and an ending that will leave you speechless, in shock, and leaving you wanting more!
Here's to RWBY Volume 3, the volume that changed everything!

Without a doubt, this is arguably the best season in RWBY. It's got heart, charm, emotional resonance, and most of all, a thrilling end to a beginning saga.
