Too soon... gone too soon.

Wanting more is always the sign of something good.

Anyone who is been in love feels these same emotions. I loved these shorts and hope that everyone who has lost someone is found, redeemed and understands.

Film-making Isn't easy; but, when it tells these truths, it just seems right. It just seems right.

Gentle Masterpiece

AFTER FOREVER is a gentle masterpiece. Education with a velvet hand. No stereotypes, just real people living life on life's terms. Superb writing, terrific drama! I thank you.

A beautiful story

This series exceeds expectations. Very well written produced and acted. Stories of loss are familiar but not when it comes to gay couples. It is so well told; the switching from real time to the past to the imagination seamlessly. There is real affection here from all the characters for one another and even day to day activities are filled with authenticity.

A MUST SEE for all

I came across After Forever one night after the death of a very close family member. I bing watched all episodes. They hit so close to home. After Forever touches on every emotion involved with loss, regardless of the relationship of those involved. Each episode takes you through all of the stages of loss, and of hope for the future, and reinforces how one can get through loss and grief with the support of great friends. I truly hope After Forever is renewed.

Wow - One Of The Best Things I've Watched In Years

Something adult for a change. Amazing. Watched all 8 episodes in one sitting. Touching. Real characters. Real situations. Nice to see some depiction of adult queer lives, not just teen coming-out angst. Touching story. I don't usually enjoy surrealism/mysticism but it worked flawlessly here. Perfect. Can't recommend this enough. Please watch. There will be tears.

Jason and Brian

I liked it. For a kind of freshness easy created by realistic , honest perspective about the loss of beloved one and the life after. For the eulogy of friendship and for quasti - idelistic, at first sight, relation of Brian with his parents in law. For a story who is not a pledge, manifesto or demonstration by a form of confession about two guys near 50 years old age front to a dramatic situation. Their answers, their dialogues, decisions and the world after the great step.

The final is surprising natural and source of good hope..

Good acting, fine crafted story , nice humor zones, fair dose of melancholia and the feeling to be front an open window in early morning of spring.

In some measure, kick to reflection and smart romance.

Simply outstanding

Immerse yourself in the lives of the characters and be prepared to be moved, to laugh, and to cry. Quite refreshing to be able to relate to the older generation and the reflection of our own issues at this age.

Very Nice Binge Watching

I remember posting about this series, After Forever, a while ago, and I finally had a chance to see it.

I liked it for many reasons, one of which is that it explores the relationship of a gay couple who have been in a long term relationship and they are forced to face one of the worst realities of life.

I should add that it's not always totally realistic, but it's not far off the mark. It's kind of like a m/m romance novel turned into a TV series. And you have to watch the entire series to get the full meaning. I think most people who read m/m romance novels will love this series.

Mitchell Anderson and Kevin Spirtas, the two main characters, are both openly gay in real life, too.

Slowly...

Started watching wth the husband last night. I wasn't feeling it at first, then it started to grow on me. Short episodes, easy to digest. Looking forward to watching more, if Amazon/producers do the right thing.

An interesting concept surrounded by pretentious name-dropping

This drama has a lot of good energy, performances and the concept is very well put together overall. But the lead doesn't really seem able to carry the entire story, so the other characters and THEIR contributions/stories are very welcome (gets even better in the 2nd season). However, a few of the performances were over-acted and the biggest turn-off was all the name-dropping (they must REALLY hate Patti Lupone for whatever reason) and references to their lavish New York City lifestyle and proximity to Broadway, academia and artists...from a California stand-point, they just came off as posers. In fact, the more the characters talked about famous people, the more evident it was that pretty much no one famous or recognizable was in this cast. Worth a watch, but definitely a lot of area for growth (assuming there is a season 3).
