Before he became the mastermind behind Yellowstone and Sicario, Taylor Sheridan was hustling in front of the camera and his TV credits are wildly underrated. Sheridan’s very first on-screen gig was back in the ‘90s – a guest spot in Walker, Texas Ranger, the Chuck Norris cult classic.
Then came his breakout as Deputy David Hale in Sons of Anarchy. Easily his most memorable role until he stepped behind the camera and started dropping bangers like Hell or High Water and Wind River. But fans of Veronica Mars will also remember him as Danny Boyd, the charming yet shady Pch biker who stirred things up between 2005 and 2007.
While his film career exploded, Sheridan never quite ditched acting. Lately, he’s been pulling a Tarantino sneaking into his own shows. He’s already shown up in Yellowstone as Travis (the no-nonsense horse trainer).

Exploring 5 Underrated Haunted House Movies!(Photo Credit –Netflix/Prime Video)
Haunted house horror has never really left us, but some of its best offerings definitely flew under the radar. While The Conjuring and Sinister soaked up the spotlight, several haunting gems quietly delivered top-tier frights in dimly lit hallways and creaking staircases. These films didn’t have blockbuster hype or Blumhouse backing, but they knew how to terrify, unsettle, and leave you checking your rearview mirror on the drive home.
Below are five underappreciated haunted house flicks from this century that deserve your attention. Some are slow burns, others come out swinging, but all have earned their place among the most underrated.
5. Veronica (2017) Streaming On: Netflix Rt Score: 86% Director: Paco Plaza

The urban hell hole in which Alex Proyas’s Dark City takes place is a passé science-fiction dystopia. As crafted by production designer Patrick Tatopoulos, the setting draws heavily from the sci-fi of the early 20th century. This is an analog world of clockwork gears, bulky gadgets, and wires that reveals a heavy debt to Fritz Lang that only deepens when taken in tandem with the noir costuming.
The film’s atmosphere suggests a stasis reinforced by the manner in which a group of pale beings called the Strangers can freeze and reverse time in order to perform experiments on a city’s denizens. Able to implant and rewrite memories at will, the Strangers give their subjects new identities every day, rebooting them in a world of endless night to see how humans respond to the stimuli of their pasts.
One resident of this grotesque zoo, though, proves resistant to these manipulations.

There will be more to love when Netflix’s smash-hit rom-com, Nobody Wants This, returns for Season 2. Creator Erin Foster spoke to IndieWire about what fans can expect when unconventional lovers Noah (Adam Brody) and Joanne (Kristen Bell) make it back to the small screen. Foster based the show on her own relationship with her husband, as the show follows a Rabbi who falls in love with a podcaster with no religious affiliation. Nobody Wants This was a match made in early aughts nostalgia heaven with the casting of Brody and Bell, and viewers can expect more of the same when the show returns, as Foster shared with the outlet.
“It’s gonna be romantic and funny. I’m not in the business of depriving people of what they want on a show like this, and making some like, artistic choice to rob you of what you want to see.

The way a plot twist is executed can make or break a TV show, as it adds new layers to a preexisting plot. The best twists are ones that are carefully woven into the overarching narrative and themes of the show, enhancing audience engagement and enjoyment rather than stifling it.
While many twists have left viewers confused, angry, or disappointed in the direction the show took, these twists were expertly implemented, elevating an already captivating show. Though there's nothing like witnessing the reveal of a twist for the first time, it can be just as rewarding to rewatch the show and see how all the little details add up.

Since his first appearance in an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger, Taylor Sheridan has proved there’s not much he can’t do in the world of TV. Best known for being a writer, producer and director of some of TV’s biggest shows, including Yellowstone, Lioness and Landman, Sheridan made his start as a TV actor in several hit shows of the late 90s and early 2000s.
One such show was Veronica Mars, the CW teen drama about a high school detective. While not his first credited role, Sheridan played his first recurring role as criminal Danny Boyd. Later taking on bigger TV roles, including David Hale in Sons of Anarchy, Sheridan’s role as Boyd was a turning point in his early career.

First aired in 2004, Veronica Mars quickly set itself apart from other teen dramas of the era.

The following contains spoilers for Suits LA Season 1, Episode 4, "Batman Returns," which debuted Sunday, March 16 on NBC.
Enrico Colantoni has been a fan-favorite on TV for decades, whether it's playing Keith Mars in Veronica Mars, the stalwart Greg Parker in Flashpoint or any of his numerous guest appearances. However, his role on Suits LA might have surprised more than a few viewers. In the NBC spinoff's fourth episode, Colantoni played a version of himself... who was arrested for attacking his neighbor's petunias with a chainsaw.
The plot only got stranger from there, not only as audiences found out why the actor had been motivated to do a little gardening, but exactly how he'd done it. Plus, Colantoni ran afoul of Stuart Lane, portrayed by Josh McDermitt. In an interview with Cbr, the English Teacher star gave his thoughts on the storyline, discussed a possible return to the show -- and...

"This city and the people in it have been put through the wringer," she told the crowd of A-listers. "Our most attractive tables are right over there," she added while pointing to a group of Lafd firefighters seated among the celebrities. The fires broke out on Jan. 7, prompted the guild to cancel the live in-person nomination announcement scheduled for the following day, and replace it with a press release.

Television reboots and revivals have become a staple of the modern entertainment landscape.
Some breathe new life into beloved franchises, while others fall flat and alienate both old and new audiences.
But what separates a successful reboot from one that misses the mark? The answer lies in a delicate balance between respecting the original, bringing something fresh to the table, and ensuring there’s a real reason for the reboot to exist.
(Curtis Bonds Baker/Netflix) The Difference Between Reboots and Revivals
First, it’s important to distinguish between a reboot and a revival.
Revivals continue the story with established continuity — Cobra Kai and Dallas are prime examples, bringing back original characters and expanding the world to include a new generation.
Reboots, on the other hand, start fresh, often with a new cast and a modernized take on the original.

One of the things I dislike most about TV fan culture is our obsession with romantic pairings.
And yet, here I am, fully admitting that I’m part of the problem.
It’s embarrassing to feel so deeply for fictional couples, to let a show dictate my emotional state based on whether two made-up characters do or do not end up together. But some shows have gotten to me — really gotten to me — and if you’re reading this, I bet you’ve been there, too.
(Michael Desmond/Hulu)
What I’ve been trying to figure out is: who’s actually to blame? Is it the show itself? The way the characters are written? The actors and their chemistry? Or is it a chaotic combination of all those things, plus some invisible force that makes us lose our collective minds over fictional relationships?
Take Veronica Mars, for example. That show...

Krysten Ritter is considered by most of her fans an incredibly underrated talent. She has been active in the industry since 2001 and has an extensive résumé in both film and television, with her work on TV standing out over the years. The actress is best known for playing Jane in Breaking Bad and the titular superhero in Marvel's Jessica Jones, a role she reprized in The Defenders. But there is a certain niche in television in which Ritter plays a supporting role in three of its biggest titles, making her appearance a common thread when these shows decided to make a direction change.
Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls are two amazing feel-good dramas targeting mostly a teen and young adult female audience. Coincidentally, Krysten Ritter plays the main character's new friend who steals the spotlight in both. Taylor Sheridan reveals why he moved from acting to writing his own projects
Many fans praise Taylor Sheridan for his exceptional storytelling which usually relies on simple and raw narratives with minimal cinematic embellishment. His passion for the craft exudes in the projects he creates, and moving from acting to writing is perhaps the best decision he has ever made for his career.

Alias made Jennifer Garner a star back in the 2000s, and with other shows from that decade getting reboots left and right, it may be worth revisiting. In the show, Garner stars as Sydney Bristow, a double agent for the CIA who's posing as an operative for a secret criminal and espionage organization called Sd-6. Garner played both sides of the fence in Alias, as both the villain and the hero, depending on how the viewer sees the show.
More famous names associated with Alias include J.J. Abrams, who famously directed two films in the Star Wars sequel trilogy and co-created Lost. The teen drama Veronica Mars, about high school detective Veronica and her quest to solve the mysteries of Neptune, California, broke boundaries when it came to writing female heroines for television. Veronica, played by Kristen Bell, is intelligent and tough, but also vulnerable and flawed as she navigates criminal investigations and life as a high school student. A laudable element of the show was how it was able to incorporate romance into Veronica's story of gritty detective work. But one love interest failed to win the affection of the teen detective and fans — Duncan Kane.
Duncan Kane, played by Teddy Dunn, began as an integral character in the show, but over the course of two seasons became less and less relevant to the plot. Veronica's on-again, off-again, boyfriend was meant to play a big role in the show and in Veronica's life, but he was suddenly written off at the end of season two,...

Dr. Grace returned to NCIS during the latest episode.
Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole) has been seeing visions of a little girl. It began interfering with his work, and he finally sought help.

After he “zoned out” and nearly crashed a car with fellow agents in it, Parker called Dr. Grace to make a home visit.

‘Nobody Wants This’ Cast Charmingly Explain the Key to Onscreen Kissing: ‘I Would Open My Mouth Big’
“I had a feeling the world was ready for this nostalgic crossover,” Kristen Bell said at an FYC event for her Netflix rom-com smash “Nobody Wants This” December 4 in NYC. No one ever knows for sure what TV shows are going to hit the zeitgeist, but Bell explained she hoped the dreamy millennial pairing of herself (“Veronica Mars”) and Adam Brody (“The O.C.”) might at least prompt some curious eyeballs.
Boy, did it: Since its September premiere, the 10-episode show about an agnostic podcaster and a kind rabbi falling in love has been a hit for the streamer, and the kind of program that feels like real, non-industry people are actually watching it. (See also: the rise of Hot Rabbi discourse online.) When they were filming it, Brody (Noah) and Bell (Joanne) knew the success would ride on their chemistry.

Hollywood couples sometimes bring their relationships into their work, resulting in some natural on-screen chemistry. Acting couples are nothing new, of course. The media has fixated on famous relationships many times over the years, and couples like Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor or Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart gained a lot of attention when they decided to work together.
In the 21st century, famous couples still like to team up on-screen when they have the chance. This isn't always the case, since some couples would prefer to keep their business and their personal lives separate, but a few couples work together brilliantly. Actors who do enjoy working with their spouses will often do so time and time again, leading to long-lasting collaborations in both movies and TV.

Some of the highest-profile Spanish films of 2024 – from Málaga Festival winner and now Spain’s Oscar entry “Saturn Return” to San Sebastián laureates “I Am Nevenka” and “Glimmers” – feature in Mass, a Spanish film showcase which will unspool in Buenos Aires over Nov. 28-30 and Montevideo during Dec. 2-4, running parallel with the Uruguayan capital’s Ventana Sur market.
The film season represents the latest collaboration between Spain’s San Sebastián and Málaga Festival, here in partnership of Spain’s Icaa film agency and Argentina’s Orca Films, as Spain’s seeks to capitalize on its predominant presence on global streamers among E.U. film powers to consolidate production and co-financing relations in Uruguay, a building film-tv hub, and with regions of Argentina.

Quick Links Who is Smile's Joel? Joel Is Brutally Killed In Smile 2
This article contains spoilers from Smile 2, in theaters now. It also contains a mention of suicide.
Smile has been one of the most unique horrors in the modern era. Like other high-concept horrors such as It Follows, it focuses on a curse spreading like an infection. Writer and director, Parker Finn, dealt with Rose in the first Smile as the victim being targeted.
Now, Finn has made Smile 2, which revolves around the curse haunting a popular singer, Skye. Interestingly, there are elements from the previous movie that are brought back. A major aspect is connected to Kyle Gallner's Joel. Sadly, there isn't a happy ending in sight for the police officer who tried to aid Rose.

More than a year after the revival was cancelled by Paramount+, iCarly star and executive producer Miranda Cosgrove teases a continuation of the series. Paramount confirmed that it was not moving forward with iCarly season 4 in October 2023, though the streamer praised the revival and cited the fact that fan-favorite couple Carly Shay (Cosgrove) and Freddie Benson (Nathan Cress) had finally gotten together. Since then, however, Cosgrove has hinted that the popular young adult series may not be done for good.
During a recent appearance on The Talk, according to Deadline, Cosgrove offered an update that a continuation of iCarly is in the works. Though the actor and producer couldn't provide specifics, she did hint that the project would bring back fan-favorite characters and resolve the cliffhanger that the revival ended on:

Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 13 Review: Some of The Best, Most Heartbreaking Stories Saved For Last
Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 13 was an emotional roller coaster, with heartbreaking and infuriating stories that showcased the very best this series had to offer the audience.
I don’t know what I loved more: Frank urging the mayor and fire commissioner to act like public servants rather than spoiled children or the human toll Danny’s case took on him.
But I know one thing: I am grateful that we have these last few episodes, even though I still wish we could have more.
(CBS/Michael Parmelee) Mira Sorvino’s Veronica Radley Is A Strong Addition To The Cast
Radley is a younger, brasher version of Frank: a thorn in the Mayor’s side who stands up for her people even if it’s not politically expedient.
However, she wasn’t any less stubborn or childish than Mayor Chase was.

Spain unleashed a secret weapon, sending “Saturn Return” star Daniel Ibáñez to perform three songs following a screening at the Crescent Theater in Los Angeles Tuesday night. He was in attendance with co-director and co-writer Isaki Lacuesta, who presented his film to an enthusiastic audience.

Sister Death (2023)
Sister Death emerges as Netflix’s eerie Halloween offering, diverging from typical jumpscare horror. This visually arresting film navigates the realm of faith, intertwining sinister elements. However, its downfall lies in a disjointed narrative structure, akin to a fragile house of cards collapsing under scattered plot reveals.

Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell explains how the show changed the titular character's love interest to Logan Echolls (Jason William Dohring), who became part of her main romance arc. The CW series followed Bell's titular character, Veronica, as she moonlights as a private investigator while going to school. Logan and Veronica spend the first half of season 1 disliking each other, but they eventually get married at the end of Veronica Mars.

Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia’s high-anticipated “The Platform 2,” the Basque director’s follow-up to Netflix mega-hit “The Platform,” will world premiere this September at the San Sebastián film festival, closing its culinary section.
Subject of a high-profile acquisition by Netflix at the 2019 Toronto Film Festival, engineered by CAA Media Finance, XYZ Films and Latido Films, “The Platform” has gone on to shoot to the near top of Netflix’s chart of non-English film hits on record, now featuring as No. 5 with 82.8 million views, thanks to its terrorific mix of futurist dystopian sci-f and redolent social allegory wrapped in a brutal survival thriller. That comes from the set-up: a vertical prison, with hundreds of floors, with every day a stone dumbwaiter descending with food left over from tenants above. Higher-level inmates gorge themselves; those below face starvation, suicide or cannibalism.
That structure looks to be retained in “The Platform 2,” set for release on Netflix on Oct.
