Welcome to the neon-soaked world of Yung, where drugs, sex and boredom stumble hand in hand through the Berlin night. The "plot" - if you want to call the loose stringing together of episodes that - feels like an endless after-hours without a climax. Instead of tangible characters, there are lifeless stereotypes of a "lost generation" who have more to do with ecstasy than with real emotions. Social criticism? None. Instead, there are plenty of half-naked club clichés that are probably meant to have a profound effect. If you want a cinematic MDMA experience without substance, this is the right place for you. For everyone else: there are better flicks to watch...
This is quite the portrayal (a bleak one) of how some young adults (or rather teenagers) grow up. How they feel and what goals they have or haven't. Oh and it's mainly girls - which was needed since most movies do concentrate on how boys grow and everything else male. So to get a perspective of future women is a nice feat.
It doesn't mean that all girls are like that or had an upbringing like that. And apart from the sex (quite strong, even if not explicit can give some people anxiety if they get upset seeing those) and drug consuming, this is about friendship, about a different (probably) view to life than the viewer of this. Raw and almost like a documentary - that is what "real" should be like, even if it upsets people ... the acting is more than incredible, even when you may not be entirely sympathetic to the characters or everything they do

Very raw movie with good actors. Interesting environments that felt very authentic for someone who has his own experience with festivals like Fusion and club culture. Unfortunately, after a while it mostly felt like an orgie of sex and drugs with no real aim or message. For someone who has watched the movie Kids by Larry Clark several times, I felt that this movie was very inspired by the former with the environments and aimless destructive lifestyles of the youth. There was one scene in particular which felt like it was just there because there is a similar scene in Kids, and it didn't make any sense to me so that's where I started to lose it with this movie. Anyhow, kudos to the actors, I hope to see them again in other movies as they did a great job, and the filming was excellent too. I just wish the movie had more to offer script wise.

- TriviaDirector Henning Gronkowski said the actresses who are naked were over 18 and knew that they were filming with sex. "Since we were a small team anyway, and because I didn't want to announce the sex scenes directly - for example, in the masturbation scene, how she should do it and so on - I simply said: 'So, we all go out', and she -Janaina Liesenfeld- was in the room only with the cameraman (Adam) and then she should simply do it how she wanted to do it. And then she did it 3-4 times until SHE liked it," Gronkowski said.
- GoofsDuring the first sex scene between Janaina and the old man, the old man's flaccid penis is briefly seen slapping against Janaina's bare vagina, revealing that although the actors performed the scene fully nude and without any genital barriers or modesty garments, the penetration was in fact simulated.
