It’s been a long wait, but Hearties got their holiday wish. When Calls the Heart returns earlier this year and premieres in January instead of the spring.

When Calls the Heart Season 12 Episode 1 promises our Hope Valley residents many new changes. Elizabeth and Nathan deal with the news Superintendent Hargraves delivers and their blossoming relationship.

Nathan also trains a new Mountie cadet, Oliver Garrett, while Elizabeth deals with the fact that Jack and Lily are beginning school and some of her other students are graduating soon.

While Hearties everywhere patiently (or impatiently) wait for the Hallmark Channel to drop a premiere date for When Calls The Heart (Wcth), Season 12, which will likely be sometime in 2025, there is some exciting news! It looks like progress is being made in the form of filming and production for the new season.

On Monday, July 15, Wcth star Kevin McGarry (Nathan Grant) posted an interesting video on his Instagram Stories, confirming he’s back at work.

This information may not have been overly shocking, as many of the show’s out-of-town cast members had already arrived back in the Greater Vancouver area, where the show films. In fact, it’s been reported that quite a few costume fittings have already taken place.

Kavan Smith and Pascale Hutton have been charming Hearties for the past ten seasons as Leland “Lee” and Rosemary Coulter; however, they haven’t only worked together on When Calls The Heart (Wcth), but they’ve also teamed up for Hallmark films, The Perfect Bride, as well as the flick’s sequel, The Perfect Bride: Wedding Bells, and You Had Me At Aloha.
