As a homage to the Italian giallo films of the late 1960's/early '70's, a bottle of J&B can be seen near Amanda's feet towards the very end of the film's first chapter.
In the opening scene, which takes place on Halloween, Amanda's child is dressed as a butterfly. Symbolizing something beautiful that was the result of an ugly situation.
GET MY GUN both begins and ends on a shot of the character Amanda's face.
