Throughout the years, many artists who've worked on the Transformers franchise have showcased their artwork online. Now, one such artist is sharing concept art and a manga sketch from two somewhat obscure entries in the series.
One artist has taken to social media to showcase his history with the brand -- namely, two Japanese parts of the Transformers franchise. This includes not only concept art for a forgotten Combiner toy, but also a dark mirror for a heroine from one of the series' anime. That show is about to turn 25 years old, making the occasion all the more fitting.

Netflix and Hasbro have partnered with Rooster Teeth to bring “Transformers: War for Cybertron” — telling the origin story of the Transformers universe — to the global streaming service in an original series set to launch in 2020.
The producers promise that the series will feature a “new animation look and style” that shows the alien robots as they’ve never been seen before. Rooster Teeth, a unit of WarnerMedia’s Otter Media group, will produce the series for Netflix and Polygon Pictures will serve as the animation studio.
“Transformers” veteran Fj DeSanto will serve as showrunner with several contributing writers, including George Krstic (“Megas Xlr”), Gavin Hignight (“Transformers: Cyberverse”) and Brandon Easton.
“In this Transformers origin story, we will explore the expansive universe of Cybertron in a way that audiences have never seen before — to the delight of both existing fans and those coming to the franchise for the first time,” said John Derderian,...

Former Machinima exec Amber Howard has joined talent agency Abrams Artists. At Abrams, Heard will serve as an agent in the alternative programming, digital media, licensing, and branding department -- which is increasingly expanding its focus on esports and gaming. Her appointment is effective immediately.
Howard departs Machinima as the gamer-focused network is in the midst of a reorganization of sorts, whereupon the WarnerMedia-owned property has been folded into Ellation, the new direct-to-consumer division of Otter Media.
Howard is a veteran talent executive who has previously held roles at Discovery, the NFL, and Img, according to Abrams. Most recently, she worked on content branding, oversaw talent development, and was involved in various game launches at Machinima. She helped female gaming star Natalie Casanova land a role on Fox’s survivalist reality series Kicking & Screaming, and also headed up casting for Machinima’s own Transformers: Combiner Wars.

Hasbro and Machinima have released the first trailer for their upcoming new Transformers animated series, Transformers: Titans Return. This is the second chapter of the series that started with Transformers: Combiner Wars, which is a series you should watch, especially if you're a fan of the original 80s Transformers series!
This latest iteration of Transformers was made for all of us who grew up on the original Transformers because it captures the style and spirit of it. This new trailer definitely shows off some cool footage from the new series, and I'm looking forward to checking it out! Here are the details that have been released for Titans Return:
Picking up right where the destruction of the Combiner Wars left off, Titans Return takes the action of the Prime Wars Trilogy to new ‘heights,’ and features return appearances from many fan-favorite Transformers characters as well as introduces new Autobots and Decepticons.

Machinima and Hasbro announced today that they are developing the final two installments of their Transformers Prime Wars animated series. It all started with Transformers: Combiner Wars, which was pretty awesome and worth checking out if you haven't seen it yet.
The two final chapters of the trilogy that they are developing are called Transformers: Titans Return and Transformers: Power of the Primes. According to the press release, the first sequel, Transformers: Titans Return, "will take the action of the series to new ‘heights,’ and feature return appearances from many fan-favorite Transformers characters as well as introduce new Autobots and Decepticons. Set in the period following the excitement of Transformers: Combiner Wars, the depleted forces of Cybertron and a broken Council of Worlds must now face-off against a new threat that is larger than anything that has come before."
There are no details on the third chapter, but I'm sure they'll come in due time.

Greetings Lrm faithful!
I know it’s been awhile since we first announced the screenplay contest for the upcoming webseries Dark/Web, but rest assured, it was no easy task to narrow down the stellar screenplays you all sent in, but of course, we had to make a decision.
Lrm and the architects of last year’s cult hit Circle are proud to present the screenplay contest winner (drumroll, please):
.....
.....
....
...
..
.
Christopher Webster!!
As we mentioned above, there were a lot of contenders here, but Webster eventually won us over with his deftly-written script, “Hacked.”
The logline for the heart-pounding winning entry is as follows:
“When a chance encounter with a pop star brings seventeen-year-old Misty Hansen instant online fame, she thinks her dreams have come true. But after a series of pranks puts her life in danger, Misty discovers that getting noticed online can be a total nightmare, and...

Cbm recently had the pleasure of interviewing Amy Johnston, the voice of Maxima in Machinima and Hasbro's Transformers: Combiner Wars animated series which is currently streaming on go90. In our chat, we touched on her performance as Maxima, whether there's more seasons of Combiner Wars coming down the line and also discussed some of her current and past projects. While Johnston does a bang-up job providing voice acting for Maxima in Combiner Wars, her day-to-day occupation is kicking ass as a stunt actor and motion capture performer. She's a frequent collaborator with Bat in the Sun and played Harley Quinn in the Super Power Beat Down episode that featured Joker & Harley vs Deadpool & Domino. She also had a role in the underrated 2013 underground-fighting thriller, Raze which starred Zoë Bell and Rachel Nichols. She also has a presence in anime fandom, as Dragon Ball fans should recognize Amy as the face...

The robots in disguise are back on their home planet, and a new series is detailing their latest adventures. Digital media company Machinima and toy maker Hasbro are behind Transformers: Combiner Wars, a new series that is now available on Verizon’s Go90 video service.
Combiner Wars takes place 40 years after the events of Transformers’ best-known film and TV iterations. While previous installments within the franchise have taken place on Earth, the new series heads to Cybertron, the home world of the titular machines. The Autobots and Decepticons have been reduced to memories of the past, but as the series begins, a new threat arises: They are the titular combiners, they are the result of several transformers coming together in united forms, and they pose a threat to machine-kind.
Longtime Transformers fans will be the primary audience for Combiner Wars, but Machinima and Hasbro are also looking to sell the...
