As seen on the official trailer, Hotel Artemis 10 rules are: 1. While on the premises, no fighting with or killing other patients. 2. No disrespectful words or actions allowed against Hotel Artemis staff. 3. No guns or any type of weapon permitted through the gates. 4. Membership must be paid for, full and in advance. 5. Prior but lapsed members will not be admitted 6. No photography or video allowed. 7. No outside food or drink. 8. Absolutely no visitors. 9. If member is found to have compromised, or led to compromise of location, membership will be revoked. 10. Hotel Artemis rules are final and non-negotiable.
The Russian word that appears at least twice (supposedly the manufacturer of a piece of electric equipment) is 'Covfefe' in Cyrillic letters.
The hotel is named for the Greek goddess Artemis, who was born in secret to protect her from the wrath of Hera, queen of the gods. Artemis was associated with animals, hunting and the moon and was the twin sister of Apollo, the god of sunlight.
The brand name on the bottled water in the hotel is Mulwray. Evelyn Mulwray is the name of Faye Dunaway's character in Chinatown (1974), a film also about water shortage in Los Angeles.
To promote the film, Global Road Entertainment released a set of character posters, each featuring an homage to a famous literary or film reference from Los Angeles, such as Sterling K. Brown merging into the book cover for Raymond Chandler's novel The Long Goodbye, and Charlie Day merging into the film poster for American Gigolo (1980).
