This movie follows Edith, a middle-aged woman who is proposed to be laid-off or get another job in the same company in Morroco. Against all odds, Edith chooses to go to Morroco, with a low-paid salary, leaving her house and grown-up son in France.
With much subtlety, this movie shows a social reality that is few commented. The pace is slow but there is a lot to think about afterwards.
Furthermore, the cast is excellent as well as the music. - I highly recommend this movie.

A tale of lost connection with own social environment and a wish to remove oneself from the current nondescript life. A parable of migration in a reversed way. The movie works on a moderate level, low key characters and acting.
What a beautiful movie. Not over the top but understated. Music was a stand out and Sandrine Bonaire was perfect as the widowed mother who had lost purpose in life and decided to take a risk and make a new life in Morocco
It's moderately interesting, if somewhat implausible. It's a fairly quiet movie with some nice scenery. It seems honest in its portrayal of work places and situations.
This is your typical convoluted French drama. It follows a middle aged woman on a new adventure in a foreign country. There is minimal dialog, and what little there is is trite and meaningless. A variety of incidents occur, some are never followed up. There is a lot of staring into space by the lead actress, and the end is just like many other French movies, confusing, ambiguous, meaningless and of little relevance to the story line in the movie!
